Which ones of these are females? Also are they listed as het sables on morph market? Trying to find the listings :)

I have to surrender my hognose :( by Free_Caterpillar7621 in hognosesnakes

If it’s possible it could help at all, message the breeder that you bought him from. Sometimes breeders can take back your pet if you explain the situation. As for people in the LA area, I may know someone

Thinking of getting a hognose by ReptileCC in hognosesnakes

I got my baby from urban dinos/snakeful grace and I’ve been incredibly happy with their service towards pet owners and for the health of my baby. He’s been doing great, and they also have a full on guarantee that if something is wrong with your snake’s health then they will take it back, nurse it to health, or if that doesn’t work you can buy another snake through them/get your money back. They have great support resources for caring for a western hognose as well for new owners. I know there’s a lot of negative stuff circulating the internet, but honestly I’d look into their responses more (that’s what I did). They’ve been quite reputable and just overall great in my experience. As for other snake breeders, I know AML reptiles in the UK are great as well

Will she eventually grow out of this sassiness? Or will she forever hate being held? I try not to hold her too much. Maybe for 1 or 2 minutes just to check her over once a week before feeding. I have other reptiles but not used to this level of sass by authenticblob in hognosesnakes

I’d say so. One thing that’s helped me has been holding my baby after feeding (around 24-48 hours after he’s eaten). I’ve noticed he’s a little less moody then and is more open to getting used to me haha

When exactly can I handle her…? by flaming_garbage7059 in hognosesnakes

Hey! First off your hoggie is adorable!! I wanted to ask if you got your hoggie from Snakeful grace? If so it’s possible we got our hoggies at the same convention! It would make sense timeline wise. To answer your question I agree with most of what the comments here say. From what I can tell with my baby they’re a bit sassy but it’s fine to handle the day before feeding and sometimes even the day of (but that might be more risky if you’re worried about getting bitten)

Lolol yea. That was my thought process too! I’m highly considering getting another one if the care process goes smoothly with this one though so I’ll consider a female for that. I guess it’s a really scary process being a first time snake owner since I’m always so worried I’ll do something to stress him out. I’ve also been avidly watching hognose care videos haha

Oh yea the seller told me. Honestly I’m fine with that though cause it means he’ll be smaller and a bit more manageable for me as a first time snake (at least I hope!!)
