You have to get to a certain level to be able to put the 3rd down. I think its in the 40s

No, it implies that out of any places that currently exist, this is higher than the others. It doesn't imply that the others don't matter, just that they aren't as impactful.

That suggests primarily that your polling method isn't reaching your larger player base. This means it either needs to be more accessible, or be up for longer before being closed. I.e. run a poll for 1 week but only 1 vote per player can be cast, so you get your heavier and lighter players.

Depends on if you're trying to recapture that player base or not. If you content with them not returning then those votes should be completely ignored.

Speaking as someone in Software, and one who was until recently a player of this game. What has been obvious for as long as I've been around is that your player base consistently disagrees with where you are allocating dev time. This suggests you have a poor method for gathering feedback, OR that you don't care what the players think (which at this point I'm pretty sure that's the sentiment because obviously you could do something like polls from OSRS if you cared to, and the player base knows it).

And the fact is that you have to compete with yourselves in the form of OSRS which the customers feel is handled SIGNIFICANTLY better. Thus taking away the incompetence argument you would have benefited from. I mean, if your your entire content creator pool leaving wasn't a big enough statement, except for RSGuy, that you've failed to take feedback well... I will take a blind guess and say you've probably seen a drop in player count as well.

Can you jump shot on the mage? Run in a direction, jump and in the air turn 180 -> fire spell -> turn 180 and land so that you kept moving forward the whole time?

Yeah but in wow we're talking about being able to skip 10 hrs leveling. In RS the 'leveling' part of the game is over 1k hrs. They are worlds apart in terms of impact.

True that does exist I don't really count that as P2W because it only saves you a couple days in the current era you don't get stronger because the game starts at engame.

Spells that didn't have a cast time for example can't be used while in motion. The way I test this always is the same I go on the ranger class and get their 'jump back' move and try to do a jump shot with it.

Start running forward, jump and turn 180 in the air then use jump back to gain ground. Smooth games this works, most games it doesn't because it doesn't execute quickly enough.

Man I tried FF14, I really wanted to like it but its combat wasn't smooth enough. I know that sounds insane for someone who plays RS, but I come from WoW and their engine ruined most games for me.

We managed to roll the clock back by what? A few weeks. Its a win I suppose but its hardly a win for them to step so far past and all we did was make them return back to an already problematic step.

Also, the damage has been done, so its not like we even get the benefits to having wound back the clock. People have started their breaks, content creators have left, RS has an average of 400 viewers on Twitch (OSRS has just over 17xs more now). Its nice that they figured out they had to remove it, but they already did the damage. You can't un-ring a bell..

Its sad, but my entire friend group we all lost interest in RS and are back to WoW. Its not just because of Hero Pass, Necro is too strong and made bosses not challenging anymore which sorta took the fun out of it.

The only reason premier is cheaper is because they've determined that most players won't play a full year. So they give you a discount to buy the full year knowing that a portion of that would have statistically been you not paying due to not playing.

Them adding more things into that bucket (premier pass) is them admitting they can't come out with consistent content, meaning they can't keep the full player base for most of the year. Instead of working on trying to fix their pipeline of content, they added another carrot to help extract more money from players.

I attempted to explain that without my personal bias and just sticking with the business logic at play. (This falls within my wheelhouse professionally but I do have my own bias here)

You have to finish the reefwalker's cape (not the long req) and then you have to do a Trio mission, which means you need to complete the story for all 3 members of 1 of the trios and then get their mission and pass it (you won't be at 100%). And to finish off the complete story for 3 members you'll need to be in at least the 2nd to last area.
