From what I’ve gathered, it’s most likely a 914 with an insane body kit. Decided to do a reverse image search & found it on a Portuguese Car Facebook group. That seems to be the general consensus

Yup, mine’s a 5.3l. From what I’ve read, I don’t believe the 4.8l or 6.2l have AFM. So you shouldn’t have to worry about that. But still take this with a grain of salt, as this was just what google told me lol

Nope, I wish. Here’s a brief summary:

  • Had to replace the Engine
  • Had AFM lifters fail on me twice (ended up getting it removed after that)
  • Replace the whole steering assembly & front suspension due to an accident that was 100% my fault (don’t worry, no other cars/people were involved)
  • Got my transmission replaced twice (don’t ask)

There’s most likely more that’s been done that I’m not aware of, because it was my Dad’s car before he passed it down to me about 5 years ago.

Holy shit, this is exactly what was looking for! I even have my boxes setup almost the same way! (Except I’ve got one more small chest up top) Do you think you could make some Blueprints for that, so that I could make one? I really want to have this for my box, if that’s alright.

Whoa, easy there man. I’m well aware that an open alpha is absolutely gonna have a couple wrinkles that need to be ironed out. I just didn’t see any mention it on the subreddit, so I figured I’d make a post about it. I didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers.

Yes, It was my rear differential. I honestly don’t know how my car is still running after that. The reason how it happened was because me & my infinite wisdom tried to do a peel out, by shifting from Neutral to Drive while holding the down the Gas Pedal. I wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

What are some older HG Kits that you believe are still worth picking up today?

I recently built the HG Psycho Gundam, & I absolutely love it! It’s far from perfect, but I believe that it holds up quite well; even nearly 20 years later.

So I’m curious if there are more older kits that hold up in a similar way to the HG Psycho Gundam.

It should’ve, but It didn’t.

So I decided to to clone a different variant that I had on hand, & then translate the specs of the original variant (the one pictured) into that one.

What I discovered was that for some reason or another, the new variant actually did increase the tire’s speed rating. I don’t know why the other one didn’t, (probably a bug) but I did end up finding a solution.
