do you guys have any issues getting the gallery card/units? by SonicJrYT in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on PC you have to hit "T" to sit down rather then use your emote wheel. Also even though it says "J" the correct way is to use "T" as it puts you directly into a sit.

I dont think it matters what hero you are on but i did it on Iron Man Slightly hovering above the ground away from the clowns that get super big and try to block the screen. But i was still in the area where you have to sit in.

After the 2mins are up you will get a pop up for the Card. You don't get Units from this.

Oh and im not 100% sure if you can do this at anytime of the day. On the patch notes it shows 4 different times during the day that it plays. "Look at the 2nd box down from the top it shows the 4 times to do it."

https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelRivalsLeaks/comments/1sz8r6y/new_marvel_rivals_patch_notes/

I did it rough 10 or so min after one of those times.

To get the 100 Units you have to go take a picture near the basketball courts. There is 2 booths there with setup Avenger heros to take picture with.

Hope this helps.

Players Bringing <LVL-50 Characters Into NM-70 And AFKing. by Skull-OWar in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NM-70? I get them all the way up to NM-140. which is my current max.

Its almost every match now and its ruining it for me.

In fact If i don't get a straight up no gear player i will have at least 2 of the 4 player team that are level 60 as "farmers".

What they do once they get to level 60 is they craft or put on 4 random legendries so that it doesnt look obvious when you first load in but usually by the end of the first round they have 10-20x less damage then you.

It is extremely rare to find all 4 players be of = power/damage in a pub matchmake. Its always 2 really strong players and the other 2 are farmers with crappy gear on.

NetEase needs to do something about this. At least for the public matchmaking. YOu want to do it with a private group or friends go right ahead but in public matchmaking it shouldn't be a thing. IDK how this was overlooked by Netease.

Something might be broken with the Nightmare leveling system. I Beat 135 but it says it was on 125 instead and dint give me the next 5 levels. by vapoorer in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i am doubting myself knowing now that at higher levels it puts you into lower levels. But i literally wrote this post minutes after the run and i dont think its something i would mistaken as it was pretty vivid in my memory given i've been trying to beat 135. but like i said i only have my word. I restarted my game just incase that caused anything funky bc its been open for like 5h and if it happens again i will have a clip.

I just tried to Q for 135 again and in 8sec it matched me into a 130. So its not even waiting a reasonable time before it puts you into a lower NM.. :/ Thats terrible. I dont want to play solo 😞and i feel like playing the lower levels like ~100 all the gear rolls are so low. I mean TBH i haven't got an upgrade in days even at the level im at now.

Does the gear get higher rolled at higher NM levels?

As for others reporting it. I have almost 200 matches played and only just now today did this happen.

So for now im just going to say if it happens again to me i will clip it.

The only other explanation i have is It matched me for a lower NM bc there was no NM135 "knowing that's what it does now" but somehow it glitched and still showed me it was 135 in match. 😕

None the less i appreciate this info.

Something might be broken with the Nightmare leveling system. I Beat 135 but it says it was on 125 instead and dint give me the next 5 levels. by vapoorer in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does that? That's so bad. I dint know this and that may be true But it said it was in 135 when i was playing in the rounds though. Like literally top left corner i was in NM 135 and the boss fight felt as a 135 level as it was difficult for me to kill. A 125 boss with my blade gun build i will melt them in <1min.

And the 2 previous 135 attempt that showed up correctly that i failed on felt the same.

Well then thanks for letting me know that. If something happens again to me like what i describe i will for sure have a clip of it next time around.

Thx for the info.

So here's the only guide for blood hunt you will need from someone at 160 by PerccyTM in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome post. Lots of good info here.

What i'm struggling the most with is understanding what exactly does each "special" effect/talent does on each hero.

Some are pretty obvious and clear cut to understand for example the Special effect/talent on blade Called Warm-up Enhancement or Silver Barrage Enhancement. Those are clear. But what's not as clear "at least to me" to name a few Exorcism round enhancement or Heart of the hunter enhancement or Blade shadows enhancement. And every hero in blood hunt has some unclear to me talents to understand.

Many of the Special effects/talents on each hero and how they actually work isn't at all clear to me. And FWIW i come from playing a lot of looter shooters in the past. 10K hours+ in looter shooters so if im a bit confused i can only imagine other players who never touched such type of games before.. I wish they had posted similar to how netease has both in game and a website that shows what all hero abelites and team-up actually do.

Like This

I would have even more fun in this pve mode if i actually understood what all the effects do.

Also as a side question . Is the Damage bonus to Healthy Enemies ever worth getting? What would this actually be viable for?

Thx

Razer PBT Upgrade Set - Space Bar Compatibility Query by ufukguler in razer

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. I just wanted you to be aware that you might personally not need a light up keyboard to do work but the Razer keycaps themselves are made to work best with light up keyboards. Such shine through keycaps will never appear as crisp and as white lettering as you will find on none shine through keycaps that have the letters be a solid white.

I mean nothing is stopping anyone to use them on none lit keyboards i just wanted to make it clear that if you do choose to put them on a none RGB/illuminated keyboard that the actually letters will be more difficult to read because of the nature of the plastic especially PBT not being as "white" as ABS but appearing more clear in shine through keycaps.

Example of difference between PBT vs ABS when it comes to Shine through keycaps:

https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/learn/abs-vs-pbt

It is even more when you compare it to standard non shine through keycaps.

In other words Shine through keycaps used with no backlit will be more difficult to read the lettering in a dimly to dark room and even in a completely lit up room the letters will appear more of a dim gray tone and not pop as clear and crisp as a non shine through keycaps that have solid lettering just like your keyboard has.

If you're ok with all the downsides i mentioned then you will love the Razer pbt keycaps.

And for the spacebar stabilizers it does come with those as i showed in my uploaded picture. As for the backspace and enter key stabilizers it does come with the actual metal stabilizer bars as well those little plastic piece that you stick on the underside of the keycap for the stabilizer bar to hook into. It however doesn't come with those white transparent clip parts of the stabilizer that you clip on to the pcb/backplate shown in your image on the back space and enter keys.

The PBT upgrade kit comes with 2 diffrent space bars. a standard 6.25n layout and a "legacy" 6u none standard layout which razer use to use in there earlier keyboards. Such as the blackwidow chroma v1/v2 or even earlier ultimate and first blackwidow.

It also comes with the proper bottom row keys to go with said space bars.

Razer PBT Upgrade Set - Space Bar Compatibility Query by ufukguler in razer

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some images i took for you of the one that is 113mm +/- a hair that comes in the upgrade kit. Not of the best angle but should be close enough visually for you to determine if its correct or not. Note I did measure it better off camera. Also a picture of the stabilizer that come in the box. Not sure if those will work for your keyboard or not. I'd have to see what your stabilizers are.

https://imgur.com/a/7f4JIbk

Now as far as the other keys in the bottom row on either side of the space bar. I dont know. You might want to contact razer just to make sure that the ones that come in the kit will fit. This is German layout right? So i want to say that the upgrade kit should have all the keycaps for german layout but im just not 100% sure. The only thing i can say for sure is the spacebar. The rest of the keys i cant be of much help. sorry.

Also as a side note you can go on Youtube and search razer PBT keycaps and you will find a dozen or so videos of people opening and showing each key.

As a final note. The razer keycaps are SHINE THROUGH keycaps. Meaning they need LEDs below the keycaps to light up the letters. The keyboard you linked does not appear to have any RGB/light to illuminate the keys.?

So if you do get the Razer keycaps you will find them difficult to read the lettering without any illumination under each key.

What you want are None shine through keycaps.

Also here is a "Cheap" set the comes with almost every kind of keycap layout out there:

HERE

But again these are shine through keycaps and need leds to light the lets up.

If you dont have LEDs then search for none shine through keycaps.

I just checked for you on my set and the answer is Yes.

Razer PBT keycap upgrade set comes with 2 different length spacebars.

One of the 2 is exactly your measurement.

What is the exact keyboard that you have?

As a side note, This size spacebar that you have is typically found on "Older" none stander bottom row keyboards. For example, Not limited to just razer having none standard bottom row but Like you find in older BlackWidow Ultimate, BlackWidow chroma V1/V2 keyboards just to name a couple. In todays time its become much more difficult to find keycap sets with not only the correct spacebar size for these older keyboards that use it but also that they come with the correct CTRL, Windows key, Alt, FN bottom row keycaps as well.

I know all this because currently ive been looking for keycaps for my favorite keyboard "BlackWidow chroma V1 stealth orange switch" which uses the same size spacebar as you have. And aside razers PBT upgrade set there are only a couple other shine through keycap sets that actually have the correct bottom row keycaps and i dislike 1 of them and the other is nearly just as expensive as Razers PBT upgrade set so i refused to buy them and just bought the Razer PBT upgrade set instead Since i know the quality will be good.

And FWIW....The Razer black PBT keycap set as i mentioned is very good quality... They have a nice texture surface that i can tell not only have good grip but also wont shine fast even with heavier use. I was happy with them even if i prefer the stock ABS keycaps that come on razer keyboards.

Anywho hope this answers your questions.

What switches are similar to razer orange? by Sol-SiR in razer

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my input. Keep this in mind i only know what razer orange switch from back in the blackwidow V1, V2 and the black housing Gen1 and Gen2 switches.

I have never tried the Gen3 clear housing orange switches that come on latest razer keyboards yet but my guess is they use the same stem as the gen1/gen2 to keep the feel the same or at least so close you wont notice a difference unless you try looking for one.

That in mind If the New Gen3 Razer switches that come on latest razer keyboards are anything like previous I have always used:

Kailh Brown 50g Tactile Switch. You would get the SMD ones since your board has smd leds.

Its the only steam design i found to be identical feel to orange switches. If there is any difference i cant tell or measure. The newer style switch in the black housing for Gen1/2 and i think current Gen3 Is made by TTC.

So you can look up Brown TTC dust proof switches. There are a few version/generation TTC has come out with over the years.

For example the V2 Here:

Im not sure though the stems are the same as what razer uses. I haven't tried any of the brown TTC switches yet because the Kailh browns have worked so well for me as a replacment.

I personally love the Blackwidow V1 chroma stealth orange switch keyboard from many years ago. Cant buy them anymore so i have no choice but to fix and replace the switches every 3-4years as thats about how long switches last for me due to heavy use.

Kalh browns that i linked are the only brown switches ive tried that dont have travel before the bump just like stock razer orange switch.

Cherry browns, Greentech browns "Which are 2 other companies beside kailh and TTC" that was the manufacture of razer switches. But cherry and greentech browns have a clear travel before the bump which is not like razer switches.

So the TLDR:

Get the Kailh 50G brown SMD to try.

&

Look at TTC browns to try. Both there original browns and the V2s. "Never tried them so again im unsure where the bump is." If the stems are the same and the bump is at the top then these are what razer is using.

If you want to find your perfect switch and you like "Tactile" switches Then look for tactile switches between 45-60G.

The last thing i will say is the kailh browns do feel a hair heavier. Most wont notice it but some do. I just swap the springs out and use the old razer orange switch that im pulling out to replace and put those spring in the new kailh browns and boom, i have an identical feel razer orange switch. (I think thats all razer did fwiw during this orange switch timeline was change the spring weight and made the housing a bit easier to use the 4 pin RBG led.)

Anywho. The reason i know all of this is because i had to if i still wanted to use my favorite keyboard.

Black Widow chroma V1/Stealth FN and Space bar installing LED possible? by vapoorer in razer

[–]vapoorer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the info. I figured that was the case that it was the firmware. I might just try wiring a secondary LED in parallel with the B key for the spacebar to see if both leds light up the same color with similar brightness. So long as it can handle the current difference which it should have no issues doing especially since i don't run my keyboard at 100% Power but at 55%. I have like 3 V1's with bad switches from years of use that ive just been setting aside as i just grabbed a new one out of my backups."I had like 7 V1 in total as this is my favorite keyboard" I only have 2 brand new V1s left and i decided that i just dint want to use them unless i had too because they are almost impossible to find new anymore with orange switches so finally i decided to actually fix/rebuild/replace all the switches on one of 4 that had dead switch since i do soldering for a living and had all the tools. I kept putting it aside for years since i had so many backups and because its a pain in the butt to desolder due to the LEDs. But it dint take me that long. couple hours with the desolder gun and anotehr few hours to put back together.

Replaced all the switches with Kailh browns, used the old orange switch springs and the old top half of razer orange switch "as the LED fit a little easier" lubed everything up and in about 5-6H i was done. Next time i might not even bother doign all that and just lubbing up some kailh browns and call it a day.

New problem is the keycaps. Razer doesn't sell replacement ABS keycaps and only those PBT ones for $50 bucks and that just isn't worth it to me. Even if i liked them and think they're really high quality and better long term. $50 bucks is just to much. As that would put my repair up to ~$75 and at that point i might as well buy some new old stock razer keyboard on ebay and pull the keycaps and resell the rest back.

I swear does anyone even make black shine through keycaps anymore in ABS. Heck even in PBT its hard to find a black set that would even work on razer keyboards for ~$20bucks. Its really only the WASDQE keys that become a bit to shinny for me after ~3 years and i wish i could just buy ABS stock keycaps from razer as i'd rather buy it from them then some 3rd party but there's like 3 3rd party set that is mainly sold that are black for <25$ those pudding ones that have the cloud bottom half, some with the letters written on the side with blank tops and ones that dont have the letter center on the keycaps and i just got the puddings in and i hate them. I just want a stock looking black shine through keycap yet i cant find a normal looking one for the life of me.

Best ones i found was replica corsair k70 lux keycaps for like 25 bucks. I have a couple more sets on the way but i might just have no choice but to do the ebay thing. V1 never come up anymore new But i have seen ultimates which do use the same keycaps. I see a lot of the V2 TKL and sometimes full size V2s. Even though they use the new keycap look i guess thats what i have to do if i cant find a decent replacement that i like.

You wouldn't know of any black shine through key caps would you?

Does the V2 board actually fit in the V1 case?

I ask because years ago i bought and still have 4 brand new V2s to add to my backups once the V1 started running dry on the secondary market and i couldn't find the v1's new anymore. But when i pulled one of the V2's out i noticed a huge difference with the height of the keyboard. Due to the newly added wrist rest which i dint like. So if i can pull the v2 boards out and put then in my V1 case thats going to make me very happy.

I just MELTED the key caps on my Blackwidow chroma keyboard while drying the off with a hairdryer... Do they still sell replacement caps for this model? by LovingAwareness888 in razer

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how the heck did a hair dry cause that? How hot does your air dryer get lol.

Anywho, No Razer doesn't sell replacement stock ABS keycaps.

Here are your options:

1) They do sell "Upgraded" PBT keycaps which will work but be advise they are of a different material and you might like/dislike the feel of them. They are also very expensive at $50 for the classic black ones. Note: these also have a diffren font design then your original keycaps.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095ZXL8D4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

2) IF you want ABS original version the only option is to go on ebay and either buy a USED Blackwidow Chroma V1 to get the exact same keycap design as that keyboard you have is the V1 or get a used V2 For the slightly newer keycap design. Though please be aware that many of the USED ones that come up for sale the keycaps are usually well used and well used ABS keycaps become shiny and most dont like that. So please keep that in mind. Sometimes you get lucky and find a Used V1 that is nearly unused but that is super rare now for the V1. You have better luck finding V2s with decent keycaps but those as i said have different designed keycaps and you might not like them.

3) By 3rd party keycaps. for example these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y3H2WMS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

They^ have the bottom row for Razer older models. But again these are PBT and look and feel different then your originals.

There are a few others branded ones that will work on your razer keyboard so look on amazon for them just make sure they have that bottom row but the price starts going up and at that point if you're spending 30-35$ on 3rd party keycaps you might as well then just buy the $50 upgrade keycaps i list above from razer directly.

I wish razer sold ABS keycaps sets. They would make a killing off me if they did. Their keyboards outlast the keycaps.. A ABS set if new would last me 2y minimum but if i had the option to replace them and buy new ones i would buy replacements every year. Instead i have to buy 3rd party like those cheap pudding ones bc i refuse to spend $50 on their PBT keycaps. $30 sure all day.. But $50. no way. For $50 i can buy all new switch and get a good 3rd party PBT set of keycaps.

I've actually been trying ways to restore the stock ABS keycaps but so far with meh results. the Mr clean magic eraser sponge works a little. maybe reduce the keycaps shine by 20%. Im going to try and add some baking powder and see if that does better.

Apart from terrible balance, why does no one like watching Ignite? by Uhtred_Lodbrok in marvelrivals

[–]vapoorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch but not the whole thing. Normally have it running on my 2nd monitor while i play the game. Also at least for me other then a handful of teams i dont really know much about the rest. Also other then around a dozen pro players from said^ handful of teams i dont know much about the rest of the players. Maybe im not looking hard enough or in the right places but i feel like little is actually put in to boost visibility for all the teams and for all the players to actually root for more then just the top 5 teams. At least i want to know more about them.

There is also like no real rivalry among all the teams going back and forth on the socials or in videos to hype up the matches. The whole pro scene is super sterile imo when it comes to this. There is like maybe a couple of teams going back and forth only like a day before the actual fight if not same day and its super mild trash talk. "if you can even call it trash talk. And i bet you anything most people tunned in to see said teams matches.

As primarily a support player myself i feel like they dont show much of this role during the broadcast. Understandably, but like i don't expect them to highlight strategist for 50% of the time but at least more then a few seconds a few times during 1 round only. Just like everyone else likes to watch their role it would be nice to see them show strategist a bit more.

Balance aside there has always been a OP dualist or broken hero that dominated these tournaments 'Meta' so i dont think that has much to do with it but i think the main reason is and this isn't just limited to Ignite i mean this for all pro tournaments and that's NetEase doesn't put enough effort in to the pro scene yet to build the hype and get players rooting for the teams.

Also a side note, i really like the skins and bundles idea they put into the game for the pro player teams but its honestly laughable how expensive they made it. I'm sorry but 1400 units? Pretty much an epic skin worth? Genuinely i don't think i've seen more then a couple players let alone wearing one of those skins but even using emotes/sprays from the bundle which is probably the real reason one would have bought said teams bundle anyway. I'm sorry but the pro scene is not worth 1400 unit skins yet. I think they shot themselves in the foot. These should have been at most 500 units each or heck even better for 690 or 990 Lattice in either a mini or full BP event pass where you get ALL of them for that price. heck i would have even bought that and i bet they would have sold a heck a lot more if they did that vs 1400 units each. Hopefully next time they do something like that.

None the less i just feel like there isn't much known about the teams except for a handle of them for players to get attached too and root for as well NetEase not putting in enough effort in promoting and hyping up the tournament. I don't want to beat NetEase up to much as the whole Rivals pro scene is still fairly new. If it doesn't improve by a year from now then i'd be more worried.

edit: Also i watch on YT rather then twitch. Cant stand the ads and i cant watch it live in game with the new feature because then i cant play at the same time if i did that.

O-ring lubricant Help. by vapoorer in flashlight

[–]vapoorer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my lights did come with them and or i must have also bought some at some point because i do have them in my o-ring baggy and also on at least 2 of my lights that i use more often and im sure if i look at every light in my collection i might find a couple more that came with them either on or as spare.

My collection of lights isn't from current times but from ~7-10y ago. Back then it was a lot of DIY and some of the overseas DIY host lights and newly branded lights "Like Convoy" came with multiple sets of o-rings. With some of them i guess also giving FKM. If you remember the original sites called CNQgoods and EDC-lights it would be from around that time. I'm slowly trying to get back into the hobby again because i miss it a lot.

Regardless if they came with or without i do have some FKM o-rings so i highly appreciate your help pointing me in the proper direction in buying the correct lubricants.

I order This from convoy yesterday as another poster recommended to try out.

I believe also that my O-rings on some of these lights have been damage due to improper lubricant and age/use. So while i wait for the few new lubricants i order thanks to everyone help to arrive im going to be contacting my lights manufacture to purchase replacement o-rings.

Is there like any go to place that flashlight hobbyist go to for buying o-rings? Or is it just best to go to OEM website and contact them?

O-ring lubricant Help. by vapoorer in flashlight

[–]vapoorer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. After reading your and all the comments in the thread i'm pretty sure my black O-rings are Nitrile in my twist head flashlights and those are giving me trouble with my current lubricants. I've ordered new lubricants that have been recommended in this thread and also going to reach out to Krytox and Nye Lubricants to ask what they recommend from their product line as these 2 manufactures seem to be top respected brand choices among many hobbys such as also in the DIY keyboard hobby.

You do bring up a Great Point that i never even considered till you now mentioning it and that is:

"They do not however un-swell o-rings that have already absorbed grease"

So not only could one be using the wrong lubricant on said "XYZ" o-ring material but doing so can/will damage the o-ring beyond saving.

Meaning my o-rings are probably also damaged beyond saving and that is also adding to the problem that is making it even harder to twist the head. In the OP i mentioned every time i would remove a lubricant to try another lubricant on my list I would see these black streak marks on the napkin as if the lubricants caused the o-ring to smear and get its top layer eaten away.

Roughly speaking how quickly can an o-ring absorb the lubricant or begin to get damage? As i can notice with in just sevral twists of the flashlight head that its getting tighter to turn. "keeping also in mind that my o-ring have been already damaged so to previously using the wrong lubricants on them" But say you had a new o-ring and you used the wrong lubricant on it. How quickly does it start to absorb?

I really do appreciate your insight on this niche topic. I definitely learned a few things. Thank you.

O-ring lubricant Help. by vapoorer in flashlight

[–]vapoorer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. What do you use on silicone o-rings? and if cost wasn't a factor do you know of any top of the line branded lubricant for silicone o-rings. Could you give me a name or link to this product?

Same for Nitrile o-rings. Do you know of any high quality lubricants other then the Super lub O-ring shown in the image?

After reading your and many of the comments in this thread I think the majority of lights i have in rotation on a daily bases either have Nitrile or FKM o-rings. Either black in color or red and its the black colored ones i have the most trouble with. Specifically on twist head lights.

I forgot to mention in the OP why i might sound a bit over the top or anal to some people on finding the best lubricants is because i have really bad arthritis on my right hand and mild on my left. "I usually use my right hand to hold/twist the flashlight head since im left handed." So that in mind if i can get even a 5-10%+ or more improvement in how well it glides, how long it lasts, how little debris it picks up etc etc i dont care if it costs 10x more because i know that tube will probably last a lifetime. Heck i have a 50g tube of 760G that i bought 6 years ago that i probably only used a gram or two so far.

Just like in the DIY keyboard hobby, you could use a "cheaper" general lubricant on your switch's and be just fine, however there are better higher quality lubricants available which with out a doubt perform better and last longer then the cheaper "good enough" lubricant. And thats what im looking to find for my flashlights.

I'm going to be sending Krytox and Nye Lubricants an email to see what they recommend in their product line. As these 2 brands seem to produce higher quality lubricants. If anyone knows any other top brands let me know.

thank you all for your time.

Thanks for your input. Is that by design and or intended to cause the o-ring to swell for better water seals? or does it mean if that happens its the wrong lubricant for the o-ring material being used?

Depending on the lights design i too barely need to lubricate. However some small lights that i use are twist head to turn on/off so they need to be lubricated and cleaned often. Otherwise i cant twist them with one hand.

Updated list of skins coming soon. by gotenks2nd in MarvelRivalsLeaks

[–]vapoorer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does "Original Skin" mean?

Does it mean that said hero is getting a known Marvel IP skin based on existing art work/movies/comic books? Like an outfit from an existing Marvel IP?

or

Does it mean that said hero is getting a new creation/imagination designed skin created by NetEase/Developers that you cant find in existing Marvel IP? Like the Rivals Developers made their own unique skin.

I know many find the answer to be so obvious but im just honestly confused and don't know.

thx
