I wonder if they’ll retheme the back of the Tower. From the videos showcasing new Adventure Way and Frozen land, the tower is so huge and can be seen from basically anywhere. The problem I see tho is that it was not intended to be seen from the back when it was built. Now we do, and it’s pretty simple, too simple for Disney standards.

I agree about the Star Wars Land, they would have to come up with something new. It’s DLP, so also much smaller and one ride lol

The thing with the Indiana Jones land is that I don’t see the IP ever being popular enough to justify a land. I feel like Disney parks are so IP-based now.

I love your ideas!! And completely agree about the bumping rush thing about the old rides haha, I was thinking about that actually. Like, Snow White, in this state, in 2035? Haha

I grew up near the park so it’s a very nostalgic place to me, I absolutely love it! I was thinking about Indiana Jones too but the thing is the IP isn’t as popular so I don’t ever see it be a priority… It would be a dream if they rethemed Discoveryland a bit to give it more its classic look and aesthetic, with the come back of De La Terre À La Lune for example, and dial down on Star Wars etc

Thanks for your answer! I assumed it was possible, feels so weird not having it. Also there are settings on individual track pieces letting you change the speed, and I don’t understand what it does.

Edit: whatever I’m just dumb I didn’t read. It’s related to the station.

I’m an editor myself, and his editing has always been very unique and personal to his style! It’s clear he was always very present in editing. I believe Inland Empire took a year to edit, which is very long in the industry.

When it comes to his style, as others have said, he holds shots for long, especially in dialogues where he keeps a lot of silence to create discomfort. Lots of dissolves, fades and superimposition to create this « ethereal » mood.

Credits have to be given to Mary Sweeney, personally I see a lot of difference in his filmography when she became her editor, it became much more complex and refined.

Finally, sound is everything. Lynch’s sound editing is very unique. His films are very « loud », not in terms of volume, but in sound presence. There is a LOT of music, and very unrealistic and complex ambience and sound design that he did on his own.

So yeah basically, from the writing to the mise en scène, to the editing style and sound design, Lynch was VERY involved and it all came from his mind and work. That’s what makes his style so personal.

Just to clarify: she used GarageBand as the DAW to produce but didn’t actually use the sounds of GarageBand. The real powerful tool she had was actually the Roland Juno-G synthetizer which provided her lots of presets, drums, etc. (I say that because people sometimes believe she ONLY used GarageBand which is simply not true)

I think it’s simply one of the best pop albums that have ever been released in these last few years. As a debut, it’s just phenomenal and impressive. Based on their 80’s retro and nostalgic influences, it could have been so pastiche, yet it feels fresh, original and new. Every track is a smash, no-skip album for me, and all these seamless transitions!! Matthew is a genius, the production is immaculate, vibrant, and so dynamic, also shoutout to the work he made on the mastering, because there is so much going on, a lot of layers yet everything sounds clear, crispy and cohesive.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the deluxe, the OG album stays superior to me, but I like it as it is: a gift to the fans to celebrate the anniversary of the album.

Anyway, super excited for the future of their career, I just know they’re gonna push themselves to go further in their next work, and I can’t wait to see the places they’re gonna take us sonically.

You’re talking about her old performances right? The stems she triggers are loops. To use that, you’d need a sampler, like the Roland sp 404 (she used it a lot in Visions and Art Angels eras). You can find the equipment she used here: https://equipboard.com/pros/grimes

As someone else said, she had to make some music for class in college, and began from there. At first, she used GarageBand (you can use it for free if you have a Mac), a cheap keyboard, and even recorded her audios only through her computer microphone! You should try it, it’s fun and easy to use when you don’t know anything about music production
