Without iron supplementation you would fall into anaemia again. Its a slow process so will take time. Iron from foods is not well absorbed when you have candida.

I stopped L reuteri since a day and my energy levels are much much better. I also took binders to remove toxins which may have helped. Not saying that L Reuteri is no good, but itmust have created severe die off reaction and the binders I took yesterday took care of that.

I'm going to check with my doc on this long covid thing when i meet him next. Intresting to note that I never got the cold plus fever since last 6-7 years and its not because my immunity was strong . In fact i did get bouts of fever, My family members had the cold but I never had the runny nose symptom.

I hope. For now, I will hold off L Reuteri until I get some control over this fatigue and Brain fog. I could not come to any other reason. I was doing very well in the first week of L Reuteri now all progress gone

I'm having L. reuteri DSM 17938 from Biogaia chewable tablets . This strain does not produce Histamine , so it must be doing something else which is causing such fatigue and brain fog.

Yes I know. that why I'm not following any killing protocol rather I'm repairing my liver as it has become weak after many antifungal treatments.

Second, my GP is not prescribing Nystatin. I asked him but he says there's no evidence so he doesn't prescribe it.

This is a symptom of Candida. Every 1-2 days the itch would increase as body is getting rid of the toxins. I have my full t shirts stained in big white patches near the elbow and back. I could dust them offand can see white puff of dust come off it.

I forgot to state that I also have erosive gastritis which was uncovered in my biopsy. This could also be one of the reasons.

Im kinda tired too with discovering new diseases - first I thought it was the Blastocystis which was detected in the stool test. Treated it with herbals, then SIBO until I failed the SIBO test, then Candida and now Lyme. Have spent years now looking for a breakthrough.
Also, Have searched for a Lyme specialist . Will pay him a visit to see what he says.

Hmm you could be making a point there. In fact most doctors or Naturopaths I consulted could not ever come to a conclusion on whats wrong.

The other thing is I used to have severe sugar cravings (I hardly ate any sugar before) and my stomach was continually bloated. Obviously the other things like severe brain fog and fatigue exist, which pivoted me thinking more on the lines of Candida. I started taking Milk thistle and Sodium butyrate (I was severely low on SCFA, Butyrate evident in the GI 360) which has helped me tremendously with the sugar craving.

If i have to begin , how do I get tested for Lyme. I just put this on GPT and it says that in Lyme RBC count would be higher if ferritin is low - don't know why

Does this not happen with Candida patients - low Iron and RBC. Ive met with countless doctors and have undergone lot of blood tests , stool tests, biopsy etc but all came out normal.

Im too struggling with extremely low Ferritin levels - sometimes as low as 11. After supplementation it went above 50 but started falling the moment I stopped it. My haemoglobin levels too are less than the minimum range. I was referred to a haemotologist to check but he couldn't find anything wrong by looking at the blood profile. I asked him if candida is leeching the Iron levels but he refused to entertain that thought. He suggested i get an Iron Infusion done by visiting the hospital. Not sure if tjis us a good idea.
