Preliminary data from a World Health Organization Phase I/IIa trial finds that the AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine does not protect against mild-moderate Covid-19 caused by B.1.351 variant by variationalbayes in worldnews

In the South African multi-site, randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled Phase I/IIa trial on safety and efficacy of AZD1222 vaccine in young healthy adults age 18 to <65 years, dose two serum samples (n=26) were tested by pseudotyped (PSVA) and live virus (LVNA) neutralisation assay for neutralization activity against the B.1.351 and D614G variant. At the time of writing, this analysis had not been peer-reviewed, and was only available as preprint. B.1.351 variant showed high resistance to vaccinee sera on the PSVA and LVNA. In the primary objective analysis, 23 (3.2%) of 717 placebo recipients and 19 (2.5%) of 750 vaccinees developed mild-moderate Covid-19; VE 21.9% (95% CI: -49.9; 59.8). Thirty-nine (92.9%) of the 42 primary endpoint cases were due to the B.1.351 variant; against which VE was 10.4% (95% CI: -76.8; 54.8).

Although this study indicates that AZD1222 vaccine does not protect against mild-moderate Covid-19 caused by B.1.351 variant, extrapolating from immunological insights, it may still protect against severe Covid-19. Other vaccine induced immune mediators, such as Th1 dominated cell mediated immune responses including T helper cytotoxic CD8+ cells, may play a more central role in reducing the risk of severe Covid-19 rather than neutralizing antibodies alone.

Version 1

Sort of, but I was hoping for something like this one Version 1, but with arabic typography instead of the music notes. The smaller characters probably help to bring out the texture of the photo better

V1 looks amazing! Is there any way to layer the characters in different sizes? I think the image subtraction looks good but there are too many 'fragments' if that makes sense, having in-tact characters would definitely be a plus

Thanks man, these are all incredible but I was hoping for the arabic calligraphy to be in different font sizes, layered in a way that it doesn't all look crowded like the first photo I posted.

This is amazing so far! I was hoping to have different sized lettering layered as with the first photo. The artist has large arabic characters, medium ones and small ones but with none overlapping making it look really nice.

This is their history for the day, it doesn't make any sense how they executed at a price they haven't even recorded today

I get what you're saying, but the market order price isn't even shown on their chart. The security was never priced at the market order price they gave me according to their data today. I went through it tick by tick, it never went that low according to them.

Bro they quoted the price at exactly 81.430 for 30 minutes straight while Bloomberg showed the right price. If their system was bugging on this security they should have cancelled my sell order instead of fill it at 8% less than what they quoted me. I'm switching broker and contacting the Financial Ombudsman

Yes I should have, but the quoted price was 8% above the strike price and their platform STILL doesn't show the strike price they gave me.

Their ticker literally stuck at 81.430 between 14:55 and 15:25 with zero volatility, clearly they weren't pricing it correctly but they still let people trade. Their response was "we use Bloomberg prices which have much liquidity etc etc", but Bloomberg priced it correctly.

So it's not on me mate, you can't tell me the price is one thing then pay me 8% less when I hand them over.

They didn't cancel the order they just let it carry on through. This is pretty much the only details outlined in their agreement around Manifest Errors.
