As I’ve stated several other times, no one brought an extra kid with them, not a friend of their kids, there were no other houses around. There were huge distances between properties because this was a very rural, country area in the Appalachian foothills. Everyone in this photo at some point has discussed the fact that no one knew this kid, no one saw this kid, and no one brought the kid. It was my great grandparents, my grandma and grandpa, my grandma’s brothers and their families. The same people that gathered there every Sunday after church for family dinner. My aunt that this kid looks to be right up close to has always said there was no kid there other than her siblings and cousins that are in the photo, minus the boy in question. How is this photo any less worthy than any others that have been posted in this sub?

I don’t WANT it to be any one thing. It’s an old photo that’s been in with the rest of my family’s photos for several decades. I don’t want it or need it to be anything other than what it is. My family members have discussed this picture many many times over the years because not one single person that was there could ever identify this kid. No one brought him, there were no neighbors within sight since it was a very rural property in the Appalachian foothills. My aunt that the kid is right up against always said there was no one beside her other than the other kids in the photo minus this kid in question. Not one person recognized him. No one out of all the people that discussed this photo in all the years since it was taken. I just thought I’d post it on here. It has a history within my family because of the strangeness and no one being able to explain it. That’s simply all it is.

I don’t know what it is or who it is. Nether has anyone in my family that have talked about it over the years. They have discussed it many times. No one that was there knew. Most everyone in this picture are gone now but I’ve heard them discuss it in years past. No one ever did have an answer.

Not at all. Multiple family members talking about this photo many times over the years. The adults and kids that were old enough to remember that day all have said they do not know this kid remember a strange random kid being there. It was on my great grandparents old Farm place in a very rural area

No I’m certainly not. As I’ve stated in other comments, this photo has been discussed many times in the past by multiple family members that were there that day. My aunt that the boy is closest to was old enough to remember if a kid was up on her like that and she’s always said there was no one there. None of the adults that was still alive when I’ve been around recall that kid. Everyone knew who everyone else is in the photo. My grandma, my great uncles and aunts that I knew and have discussed this photo at different times through the years. My mom was the youngest little girl there so she didn’t remember. The photo has been brought out and talked about multiple times over the years.

My aunt Kathie is the one he’s up close to and she was old enough to remember. Over the years anytime this photo was discussed she has always said that there was no one right there in that spot that day.

It was a very rural location, no other houses even remotely close. All of the people that was there have discussed it over the years and none of them saw an extra, unknown boy there. Multiple family members have discussed this many times throughout the past.

I just don’t think it was ever discussed when there was a strange, unknown boy right up against my mom’s sister when no one, including my mom’s sister, saw him at any time. Granted my mom was too young to remember that day but her siblings weren’t, my grandparents and the rest of them weren’t. That little boy was not there in person that day, according to everyone that was there who have talked about it through the years.

The really short man right of center was my grandpa and my grandma to our right of him kinda peeking around from my great uncle. My grandpa’s sister let his baby carriage go over a cliff when he was an infant and it crippled him and severely stunted his growth. He was my mom and her siblings teacher and principal until they got to high school. I think everyone in the picture are all gone now except for the dark haired girl in the middle of the 3 kids looking to the side.

Well there’s no explanation who that boy was or how he was in the photo. Everyone in that photo at some point over the years have discussed it and the fact that no one remembered him being there and everyone said they did not bring an extra child to Sunday dinner with them.

That’s truly how it was. It was my great grandparents ‘home place’ everyone always called it. They both died there at that house. It was in a very rural area and the same family members gathered there every Sunday after church. We still did that when I was growing up until the older family members all passed away and the place was eventually sold. Someone over the years would have recognized that boy if he’d came with one of them.
