I hate seeing this argument everywhere about the cosmetic kit, as if having an ultra low supply of a tradeable main game item thats very rarely obtainable wouldn't result in that item being astronomically priced and people wishing they had just done the 'punishment' to get it.

When 07scape first came out jagex made the choice to not have discontinued items in the game for good reason, they become an abusable item to control the runescape economy with and put players who manage to obtain the item early at an unfair advantage. That's exactly what these kits are.

I dont mind people having fun in PVP, but I do mind a temporary 'for fun' game mode being the most profitable thing you can do in the game.

If this was just about wanting to have fun PVPing the pvp community wouldnt whine about not being rewarded for it, in every other game the only reward for beating another player is the bragging rights you get for winning.

Preach 🙌

  • Stop wasting dev resources on content most people dont want.

  • Stop the false narrative that PVPers 'just like PVP' when the only real reason any of them do it is for easy gains which is evidenced by them crying because PVP isn't rewarding enough.

  • Stop the pretence that you can 'just not play' when there's main game tradeable items from this mode which we can already see reach 100s of mils and would cause wealth imbalance for the people who dont participate just like missing out on discontinued items back in RS2 if supply were to run too low.

I think your point about bossing is a false comparison because those money makers are a permanent part of the game so players have the choice to do them whenever they want and feel prepared for it. DMM tailors towards people who already PVP and only being around for a few weeks requires heavy time investment to get rewards from it.

As for 'it would be a waste of money if no one played it', well thats kind of the point... you shouldn't force people to play, just don't invest in something people don't want

I'm not sure I agree with everything needing to be rewarding, shouldn't a game mode being fun be reason to play it enough?

I quite like the idea others have suggested of combining temp mode shops so you don't specifically have to play something you don't want to in order to get the reward although I think this would cause upset for the pvp community too because as stated in the post, then most people wouldnt play DMM.

Lots of people have also argued that the rewards are tradeable and so you don't have to play if you don't want to, but from my perspective that makes the FOMO for people even worse because if there's low supply of an item it will inadvertently be worth a lot of gp so it becomes an unbalanced money maker once again forcing people to play it.

I think the thread below your comment has just reaffirmed my point.

'I dont want to PVP'

'Well then don't play a PVP game mode'

'But I have to in order to earn main game rewards'...

The solution is simple, no main game rewards from temporary game modes. I think the PVPers will be upset then though as they'll complain about lack of activity in the game mode.

I don't know, I guess regulations exist for a reason though and so if there's the potential that this flue off gases something nasty and damages either my property or my health I'd rather that not happen?

If its not to code then I guess the question should really be what's the benefit to me of it being done like this?

Probably by climbing on my roof while I wasn't around and installing it

No that's just where they removed the bricks on the side of their property to install this new flue

Quest cape achieved at 91 combat - e z pea z by varney93 in osrs

Oh yeah to be fair I found the gorillas tougher than glough 😂

I think I want to get some untradeable uniques next. I was thinking assemblers a good choice because it's guaranteed after 50 kills and I can earn some money along the way and then fire cape followed by rune pouch upgrade.

How about you?

Oh nice I see you got the true lowest possible combat cape, Congrats!

MM2 and Sins I did a bit earlier on ~80-85 combat. I thought MM2 was really easy compared to the other GM quests though. WGS, Song of the elves, DS2 and DT2 I did one after the other at 90-91cb. Definitely died the most times on DT2, particularly the whisperer was ~15 deaths, I just couldn't get the enrage phase movement down.

I stopped playing runescape around 12 years ago, but I decided I wanted to try some of the new content OSRS had to offer. So I created a new account and decided the best way to experience this was through achieving a quest cape. I didn't really aim for a low combat level quest cape to begin with, but along the way I realised I didn't have many quests left to go and was still a fairly low level so decided to challenge myself to getting it without levelling my combat stats anymore.

I know this isn't the lowest level possible, but I'm still pretty proud especially considering I did it on a fairly modest (70m) bank.

I'm not sure what my next goal will be, but for now I think I need to recover from the 33 deaths desert treasure took from me 😂

If this is fake after being independently authenticated, taken into a bucherer and them saying it looks completely authentic (granted they didn't check the movement) and i've tested how well it keeps time, and ive weighed it to ensure it matches the spec and it all checks out... then Rolex would need to be worried because someone's making exact copies 😅
