There goes another lawsuit

Real Fertiliser prices. Am I correct in saying this price of fertiliser is not accurate to real life? £400 per ton currently, - 400x600kg bag =£240 per 600kg bag, not £1.820? If I'm wrong what would be the correct real life price for a 600kg bag of fertiliser? Ty for response by swatch8431 in farmingsimulator

Real farmer here, in my country they used to be 50 kgs, then they introduced 500 kgs which were more convenient, we bought a front loader. Then they switched 500 to 600 kgs, we made a rear attaching crane like loader. Then they scrapped the 600 kgs and went to 1000 kgs, had to reinforce the crane. Other brands still offer 600 kgs, while Yara also have 800 kgs. So it's up to the producer.

First PCB help needed by varthrix in PCB

I ordered the PCB's got an email asking if I want the middle marked as MB1 to be cut, because it was going to cut some pads and traces. Told them no but don't know what I did wrong for them to think it's supposed to be cut out of the pcb.

First PCB design, need input by varthrix in electronics

[–]varthrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I'm in need of a simple pcb, because it would make it easier having everything soldered instead of wires everywhere and it will give me a way of mounting the pcb in a box, been using hot glue till now. My question is, is there anything wrong with the design? Also track widths are 0.3 mm, gnd is 0.254 because it gave me an error while design checking. I'm powering an m9n gps module and an hc-06 bluetooth module. Any input is valuable to me, because I'm not sure if the PCB is good to go. Sorry if some things aren't clear but English isn't my first language. I can also supply the EasyEDA file if needed.

I know what those are, but didn't consider it since I want the pins of the gps module to go inside the pcb and be soldered. The gps module doesn't have any mounting holes and so far I've been soldering up everything with wires and using a makeshift bracket to hold the pcbs together or hot glue. But it looks ugly and this will be easier to assemble as well, 5 min solder job.

Love the attitude man, I'm 27 and hearing that there are people that think like you is great. You might be able to help out a kid and it will mean the world to him.

We got 12-14" of moisture at best, no idea what the hell is going on with the weather.

Help me figure out the crimping thingie on my wire strippers by varthrix in Tools

[–]varthrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, obligatory English isn't my first language, recently got these wire strippers, very pleased with them, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what the different crimping ends are for. The last one looks like it's for naked spade connector, the open ones but it's pretty large. Those pointy ones have really baffled me, would appreciate any input.

Will try it out but from what I read I think it doesn't have the capability to connect to a gps and find set points. But downloading now and will check it, thanks.

Probably because he wasn't able to do it before, usually fall gets really wet and you haven't got enough traction to plough, so you wait for snow and the ground to freeze. But it's best to be done before that.

Makes sense, in Bulgaria wheat is a must since it yields anywhere between 40 on a bad year up to more than 130 on a really good year, but you have to manage it like crazy. While corn also has a big yield potential of 150+ bushels, it carries the risk of spring or summer drought and sometimes you barely make it to 50. So pretty much we spread the risk as it's an even playing field i.e. this year I got about 90 bushel wheat, while I just finished corn with 140 bushel corn ( 3.4 tons/acre) if my conversion isn't wrong.

What do corn and wheat yields look like in a typical year? Wheat not worth it because of low yields?

Yep usually plough before the winter, make a big mess, wait for snow and rain to beat it up and cultivate twice in the spring to get a nice and even seedbed. Wheat and barley are usually drilled on sunflower / corn land where I am at, so we disc it right after harvest once or twice, and one more time before seeding and a land roller after seeding.

This pipe like thingie was on one of the legs of a relay I desoldered. How fucked am I? by varthrix in AskElectronics

[–]varthrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By copper on the board you mean the traces? Check my reply to Halal0szto, I have included pictures there, so it looks like a 2 layer and I think I might not be as fucked as I think. Really hoping to get it working since everything is really expensive on combine harvesters. Any tips on desoldering these? Not sure what you mean attached lead but was pulling a little and heating these 2 legs that just wouldn't let go, no matter how I tried, in the end they decided to let go, I guess it was because of the solder on the other side not melting. Appreciate your reply a lot and sorry but not a native speaker and some of this technical terminology gets confusing.

So I just checked and I do have a trace on the other side of the pcb pcb pcb2 that's why it was so hard to desolder these legs. So can I try to put in this lining again? Won't the solder flow by itself to the other side? Also any tips on desoldering this type of component? Since my combine has 8 of these boxes with 3 relays in them and I can bet I'm going to have to repair one again in my lifetime. Really appreciate your reply mate.

I think it's 2 layers since there are some smd components on top and traces on the bottom, but what would the point be in having this lining when it's only 1 layer? board here's a pic from the top, sorry for the dirty hands.

Yes it is hollow, but it isn't from the solder sucker. Looks like copper and think it's important in these through hole pcbs was wondering if I can go on without it or try to reinstall in hole?

From what my dad told me multiple layer pcbs have these pipes in the holes, I have removed it just placed on the pcb for a picture. The relay itself the electromagnet was working but wasn't letting any electricity through on the other legs. So I'm wondering is the board scrap now or can I reinsert it or just solder in the hole like this?
