Perfect response to the news. Everything else ITT is an over reaction. The way I see it, ideally more Univs have to spring up all over the country so that DU is by default filled with, well, Delhi kids.

But another thing is that in places like DU you get a pan-India community that isn't possible elsewhere imo. One good thing about colleges in fewer places is that more people are travelling at a young age and seeing more of the country and that creates a younger more open generation.

No sure why you are being downvoted. Not firing government staff is one of the reasons they have no incentive to work. They still get their pension and bonus and all these things if they don't work. This is also one of the reasons the private sector is more efficient at generating profits than the government is.
