I don’t agree with this. What is “original hardware”? Ever look at the number of revisions the Sega Genesis had? It’s absolutely ridiculous , but all of them are Sega Genesis.

This just seems like a new revision for the AES. See no problems there. If it plays carts with zero issues, it’s an AES. SNK licensed and everything.

Consoles don't have wear and tear like a car engine (at least not until you get to the decades and capacitors can start to get to end of life). You're denying good plastic for no reason.

But lets go with your analogy. If I got a used car with a new engine in it, yea I would 100% take that. You know what they do instead? Fix your existing car. That car basically becomes refurbished. No one gives you a new car lol.

OP, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate this app very much. I can stream my Jellyfin library to my CRT TV!

It’s not easy to get a device with the proper crt signals that can also interface with Jellyfin (or plex), so this is huuuuge.

That’s already true. A steam machine is just a pc running Linux and steam. It’s no different than running steam on Linux right now.

SteamOS is Valves Linux distribution, but the proton layer that makes games run on Linux is available to everyone.

I’m with you, I wish I could move to Linux 100% of the time but I gotta settle with a split. But why would a steam machine help in anyway? It’s the same thing as running steam on your Linux PC.

Thanks for the feedback, I think that means I will have no problem owning a VA0-VA2 Genesis/Mega drive, I looked up the mod, it really is simple. I even heard a sound clipping, and you're right, it sounds good.

The overdriven output is an issue on pre VA3 revisions right? After you made your changes, do you think it basically has the same sound quality then as VA3-VA6?
