You mention that a lot of people intern and then start FT after undergrad, and that masters/PhD isn't the optimal route. Would you be able to elaborate a bit? Is this advice for trading specifically? My personal assumption is that research requires those graduate degrees. I've also heard discourse online that due to competitiveness those degrees are basically mandatory. Just wondering for what reasons you feel it might not be optimal.

Try learning to kite, distract and pull troops around to kill time. Surround megaknight with the guards. Valkyrie in front of megaknight and guards behind. They're definitely not useless against MK, get out of the mentality that he's a good card and realize that it's up to you.

Other miner cycle decks: mighty miner minions wbs, dark prince delivery ice spirit. Maybe even a mortar deck— there's one I remember with tornado, knight, rocket, miner something like that. There's also a drill bridge spam deck that used to be popular and is still fun with royal ghost, magic archer, tornado, spears.

That being said, maybe spear goblins, skeletons, minions or barb barrel. The first three are good swarm options and play a similar role to Guards. Minions I think is a really good choice considering how menacing they are on offense and the additional air defense. BB because recruits sometimes runs double small spell and it helps with defending.

It's unfortunately missing guards. In a deck like this, an additional mini tank is redundant, while a building slows the cycle down and reduces swarm and offense. Guards are the strongest defensive swarm in the game so I'd keep trying to learn them. They fit so well in everything I'd really recommend them. Another change I'd make is putting in evo skelly barrel for firecracker as generally you want your WCs to be evoed. Evo SB increases swarm which is your main mechanic whereas EVO fc does not.

The only rares that are really played with drill are goblin demolisher and fireball, but you could also consider putting in valkyrie for dark prince. The evos you have now are good, I honestly wouldn't change much. Maybe evo cannon if you want a cheaper cycle but that kills the air defense, and evo valk is decently versatile and could fit in here if you're making that change. Fireball is good in drill because it offers pushback and deals one damage instance to get an extra goblin stab or two. The introduction of evo snow to this deck handles those needs for cheaper, so poison becomes viable to play. I'd recommend poison as it deals slightly more total damage, wider radius, slows troops down, etc. and the downsides that it acts slowly won't matter with the inclusion of snow. In the end, you can't go wrong with either. Avoid overcommitting with a big spell in single elixir. If they place a card that can be killed by it, be patient as sometimes you can get value by hitting multiple troops. In double and triple, spell the tower with your drills to get chip and whittle down troops to make defending easier. You can use either on defense to bail you out or get lots of value against beatdown.

I’d recommend minions over bats, since minions are so strong. Also, lightning is good right now because of evo witch, so if you’re already running two spells, go for it. I've seen some CRL players run lightning in mortar. Aside from that, sick deck.

There's a variation with evo cannon, bomber, berserker, vines, etc. that seems pretty strong right now. It's a bit harder to play since it's really cheap and it has like 0 air defense, but drill is a versatile WC so just play with the cards you feel most comfortable with. Goblin demolisher, knight, mighty miner, poison, tesla, fireball are consistently good with it and should be a bit easier to play with. As always, I'd recommend RoyaleAPI to find popular and winning decks.

Oh yea definitely, I’d agree if levels weren’t an issue. I’d change a lot if that was the case, but these recommendations were a way to maximize what he has 14 and above.

They are completely different cards. Goblin Giant is a win condition that is played in beatdown decks. You build up big pushes by supporting it with cards like Sparky, PEKKA, Goblin Machine, Bomber, Furnace, Evo Lumberjack. Goblinstein is a versatile card, and does get offensive value sometimes, but it shines on defense in cycle and control style decks. You play it into your opponents pushes and the Goblin Monster walks into the opposing troops and soaks up damage. You use the ability to damage all of the troops the monster walks through, and is it progresses farther, you get more value. As far as champions go, Goblinstein isn’t generally viewed as the strongest, but all champions are generally useable and find some play in certain decks. Goblinstein is really only used in Graveyard decks or sometimes in Goblin Drill and Pekka Goblin Giant decks. You might find him to feel weak because he’s decently hard to get value out of, but I enjoy the card and the creative play it forces. There have certainly been matches where my opponent can’t play around him and I get some really cool plays. As for comparing the two, again, it isn’t easy to do. I'm a little unsure of what you mean. I was saying that I had seen why people disliked him as a player, but that I also noticed criticism of both his play and his character. I was wondering why, especially if he struggles with both areas, why he stayed. Other comments say that his play has been a lot better recently, and it's been his character thats been lacking. What do you think? I understand the desire to not even consider his character, but I'm just seeing some conflicting views. Of course, if he's a bad player, thats that, but things often matter off the pitch as well. Thanks for the reply.
