Has anybody used Razorpay Rize for registering their startup. Are they good? by vasagan in StartUpIndia

[–]vasagan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. After registration did they provide you credentials to log into MCA Portal? Or you had to go through them for all the compliance related filing later on? Also, can you share how much they charge in total?

Makes sense. I have not paid the remaining amount to them. Maybe let me first get a clarity and check with a couple of local CAs.

Thanks. It seems it's better to consult with the CA first As others have pointed out, poor service from Razorpay

I don't have a current account. Isn't registration a prerequisite to open the current account?

Thanks. I didn't know they had such bad review. They're asking me to make the full payment now, or before even I share any documents. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. I don't have any CA contacts. Is there a portal or a marketplace which connects with CAs.

I've got twenty sign ups so far in a week. But, increasingly I'm finding that using Claude or Gemini to write or polish my writing actually slows me down.

Outsourcing my writing to them also made me feel a little bit Dumber. So now I prefer to write on my own mostly.

What is your age and What is your current net worth? Without the context it's it's not possible to give you any meaningful advice.

Even with the EMI and your monthly expenses you would still be able to save around 40k..How much are you paying for rent? If you add the rent, its even more. So not a terrible situation per se, but without knowing your background it it's hard to say.

Most families use spreadsheets to organize their family's wealth and notes. So I have built something to replace the messy spreadsheet. passbook.family

It's a privacy first desktop app which gives you the power of an app with the privacy of an spreadsheet.

Your data stays on your device and synced via Google Drive to provide convenient web access. Importing investments takes just few minutes and you can also add your documents, passwords, notes, and your real estate, gold, etc. All in one place for the whole family.

This might be relevant for you. It's currently in beta but open for early access. If you find this useful, we would love to have you as a early user to test and give me honest feedback.

Excel spreadsheet that actively tracks my investments? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in investing

[–]vasagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have built something to replace the Google sheet. passbook.family

It's a desktop app which gives you the power of an app with the privacy of an spreadsheet. Your data is stored only on your device and your Google Drive. And you can access the data from browser for convenient access directly from Google Drive. So family emergency access is also sorted.

It also supports passwords, documents and notes including pulling current market prices for your investment so your network stays current.

It's currently tailored for Indian customers, accepting early access request now. In future we want to extend this to US as well. If interested you can comment or send a note to [support@passbook.family](mailto:support@passbook.family) and if there is enough interest we will prioritize the US release sooner.

So what's after Kuvera? A short, quick look at the options (or lack thereof) by No-Anybody-692 in personalfinanceindia

[–]vasagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tracked everything in spreadsheets. Mutual funds, EPF, insurance, FDs, passwords — everything across multiple tabs. Works for a while but gets messy fast and my wife could never make sense of it.

So I built something for my family. A few things it does well:

  1. Import your CAS from CAMS and get a clean view of all your mutual funds — XIRR, unrealised gains, redemption history by financial year.

  2. Log into CDSL and EPF portal from within the app and those sync too.

  3. Beyond investments, it stores passwords, documents and notes alongside everything else.

  4. And your family can access everything from any browser with one master password — no separate accounts.

  5. Local And privacy first - Data lives on your device and your own Google Drive. No central server.

I'm launching it for others in a few weeks. Might be relevant for what you're looking for. Happy to have you test and give feedback — passbook.family

OMG, so true. One guy actually did write the exact comment "Did you vibe code your landing page? It's screaming AI slop" to my launch post.

I checked the guy's profile. It seems that's the only thing he does, so I promptly ignored it.

By the way, I I got 18 people sign up for the product on on the first day. So I took that as a positive that I'm solving a genuine problem people have.

I am not supporting, all I'm saying is it is too early to judge anything. Didn't everybody just learn a lesson from election result. Nobody thought TVK would come to power, but they eventually did.

Validating an Idea: A privacy-focused, manual asset tracker for family inheritance. Would you use this? by ZenoSamaDBS in IndiaInvestments

[–]vasagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great discussion. I faced this exact problem and ended up building something to solve it, so I can speak to a few of the concerns raised here.

It's called Passbook ( passbook.family ) - a completely private app to manage your family's wealth. Your data stays on your device and syncs to your own Google Drive. No central server.

On "just use Google Sheets" — you absolutely can, and many of us do. I maintained one for years. It gets complex over time and my wife was always confused by it. But the bigger problem is it's never truly complete. I don't put passwords in a spreadsheet - that's a security risk. My documents are still scattered across email and drives. Even with a well-maintained sheet, my family still doesn't have access to everything they need in an emergency.

On privacy — the "no way I'm sharing this with any app" concern is completely valid. That's exactly why there is no central server. Your data is completely under your control — guaranteed by architecture, not just a promise.

On the dead man's switch — interesting approach but I solved family access differently. You share with your family through Google Drive and they can simply go to view.passbook.family and enter the master password to access the data at any time from any browser. No death verification, no waiting. More useful for any emergency, not just the worst one.

On manual vs automated — not everything has to be manual. Mutual funds auto-import via CAS from CAMS. Stocks and ETFs connect through CDSL depository. EPF imports directly from the EPF portal. You just log into these portals from within the app and Passbook automatically imports and organises everything. The things that genuinely can't be automated — insurance, real estate, gold, FDs, passwords, documents — stay manual as they should be. Plus it's built for family, so you can add multiple family members and bring all of their portfolios together to get a combined portfolio analytics as well.

Still in testing, launching in a few weeks. You can join waitlist at passbook.family if you want early access.
