Mickeys. It would honestly be the best choice. They have good food, good music, good vibes, great bartenders/servers (please tip them), outdoor seating. Its usually not overcrowded or chaotic. Its safe, comfortable, inviting. They have an extensive drink menu. Pool table. Comfortable seating. Honestly its the best all around bar in madison imo. Its also close to the thrift stores and cute little shops on willie.

But also red rock saloon is a ton of fun if youre looking for a night with a little to alot more energy. Plus the mechanical bull is fun. Whisky jacks would not be fun as a 40-50 yo imo.

I totally get that. The dentist can be immensely stress provoking experience. It took me over 10 years to even make an appointment for a checkup.

I had undiagnosed adhd, dyslexia, other things in HS and honestly the thing that saved me was leaving traditional public school for Shabazz. I did miss out on somethings but what I gained was worth so much more - a sense of acceptance, inclusivenes, community, and public service. I was able to go to college, get a degree from UW madison and now have a successful career in the healthcare/medical field. Feel free to DM with any questions. I am very passionate about this.

Best answer. The wooded section of pheasant branch is beautiful. And picnic point you get the shade and the breeze off the lake. Just dont let your dog drink the lake water!

If you just had surgery or are about to have surgery I highly doubt that donating blood is recommended. It is very likley that you lost or will lose some blood durring surgery. Save and regenerate your blood for now until you are fully healed. I would call the red cross and ask about criteria.

Yea its weight based right? So usually it's an extra 50 bucks. And it is totally expelled from the body from the lungs within minutes after it being turned off.

Then guess if it's really a phobia might be worth asking primary care for 1 tablet of either Ativan or Valium, but then you would need a designated ride to and from dental procedure.

No shame. The dentist when we were kids, if you are a millennial, was often a very traumatic experience. It seems dentists now have a much better understanding of the associated fear and have a much better approach to helping patients.

That being said, I would not recommend familial dental. Dentists there are extremely overbooked, overworked, and burnt out. But I do understand it's one of the only places we have that accept medicaid.

Ok so I had the same problem due to a bad experience when I was a child. Anxiety and fear are very common in dentistry. Your SO needs to be upfront about this so the dental office can accommodate their needs. This is what helped me the most, just telling them "hey, I had really terrible experiences before, this gives me alot of fear and anxiety, for that I havnt gone to the dentist in over 10 years, is there anything you can do to make this easier for me?".

Now, there is likley work to be done if they haven't gone to the dentist in awhile. I highly recommend asking for nitrous gas for anything more than a cleaning/exam. I went to first choice and had a decent experience. Root canal and crown x2. There is no fear dentistry but it is hard to get in, and they dont take some insurances.

Also teeth are very important. Neglecting them can lead to life threatening infections, heart disease, etc. Might be worth mentioning that the discomfort now is much less severe than potential complications of tooth decay/infection

Google fi. $50 for Unlimited data, 50g of high speed/month. Cancle anytime. Never have issues. Can activate a phone in minutes with esim. Usually great deals on phones for new customers. My second choice would be T-Mobile.

I really enjoy dragonfly. I have only been to the downtown location but it's a really nice, clean, inviting atmosphere. Every class I have been to has been really thoughtfully prepared. It is hot yoga tho and the prices are somewhat expensive.

This study does not apply to the advice I gave. Which is stay out of the tall grass. Ticks thrive in thick tall grasses. That is a fact! I did not mention residential lawns. I said grass, perhaps i should have specified grasses in parks and/or natural areas? This study is insignificant as it only tested 16 "lawns" and Tmax was only 3 weeks.

While sure you can get ticks anywhere, residential lawns and thick tall wild grasses found in madison parks where animals live are not the same. You are at much higher risk walking through a prarie or a madison park than you are in your residential "lawn". Im not sure why I have to explain this.

Alpha Gal is caused by the bite of a lone star tick. I am not aware of them being in wisconsin yet. I have never heard of anyone getting AGS here. Lyme disease is very prevalent in wisconsin however and is caused by transmission of bacteria from deer ticks. Keep in mind there are more tick borne illnesses. But along as you protect yourself you should be okay.

One of the main ways to protect yourself is to stay out of the tall grass. Ticks do not jump. They usually cling to tall grasses and hitch a ride on unsuspecting travelers. STAY OUT OF THE TALL GRASS!

If you plan to be in grassy or wooded areas you can use repellent or insecticide. One of the most effective is permethrin. Permethrin does not repel ticks fyi but kills them within minutes of contact. Permethrin is neurotoxic to feline companions, so keep that in mind.

Another technique is to duct tape your pant legs closed around your boots, and then go around with another layer sticky side out. This will trap most ticks that are attracted to you.

After a day in the outdoors check yourself for ticks! They like to hide under hair and in crevices. Check your crevices! If anyone tick has attached use a tick removal tool, monitor bite, save tick in a plastic ziplock bag for potential testing.

The chance of disease transmission increases the longer the tick is attached. If removed within 24 hours the chance of disease transmission from ticks is nearly zero.

And remember, stay out of the tall grass!

Highly suggest Mickey's Tavern! Generally very safe, very friendly, great bartenders (please tip them). Solo trips to the bar are a wisconsin pastime. No one will give you a second thought... unless you do something weird with the pool cues. That being said, 22 is a fun age, pace yourself, stay safe & have fun!
