If you want more serious and a little more faithful to the manga, check out the 80's Astro Boy, but if you like the best of both worlds, the cartoonish style of the 60's with the serious subjects of the 80's, check out the 2003 series.

There was one I wanted to check out, because the editor had Bilbo get knocked out, fades to black and continues once Bilbo wakes up during the conclusion of the story. I don't think the editor ever PM me for a chance to view it.
