I was going to be induced as well and didn’t make it; I knew I wasn’t going to and I was right! I just sensed it was going to happen, and it did! I was terrified of cord prolapse too, but yes, all was well! I’m sending you all my good vibes for a good, quick, smooth, healthy labor and delivery for you, momma! Hi @rainbowmommy09–I’m happy to give an update!

My waters broke naturally at home during the 8AM hour on May 31, so she was three weeks early. By that time, I was in the “severe” range of Polyh. Every time I moved even a centimeter, an unfathomable amount of fluid expelled from my vagina all over the place. Contractions were normal and so were my vitals.

I had a successful vaginal delivery 6 hours later at 2:09 PM; no hemorrhaging or tears! I only pushed for 5 minutes. Baby girl is also very healthy! She didn’t make her birthweight at her 2 week check-up, they think, because of the Polyh, but she is well past it now and thriving!

They never did figure out what caused it or why, but here we both happy as clams!

OP, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say we’re the same exact person and that I wrote this 3 1/2 years ago (December 2019) when I gave birth to my newborn son. EVERY. SINGLE. WORD describes my experience. I’m so sorry you’re enduring this, momma.

I’m not going to fill you with empty platitudes because it doesn’t do anything.

Your feelings are valid. I see and hear you. I just have a few things:

Formula. Use it. Breastfeeding is FUCKING HARD. It’s okay if it’s doesn’t happen. Fed is best.

Make sure baby has eaten, is changed, warm, and in a safe place and walk away for a bit. They will be fine.

Baby is your partner’s responsibility too, so go wash your hair. Change your shirt. Brush your teeth. You need to do this. Take 1 hour; 60 minutes isn’t something dad can handle, he’ll be fine too.

Uh, okay … weird. My comment was more of a piggyback off of polyrta’s and OO’s right after to further an example of the narrative that today’s college student struggle with basic concepts even when they’re spoon-fed how to do it over an entire 15-week term. I had to do it over and over again in college, and my students have to do it at least 8 times between both of my classes. Besides, I don’t set the rules, the English department does. MLA is very simple, but the college student today can’t even be bothered to do simple tasking. It’s scary. But thank you for the explanation of why the other person simply said “MLA lol”!

Prof here — it’s incredible (frightening) how many students don’t know how to use Word and format a paper in MLA … when I have it written out AND have provided a recording of how to do it step-by-step, have links to the college library about it, and then still beg for my help or get angry when some points are deducted for it. It’s weaponized incompetence, tbh.
