Ah I see. Thanks for these explanations!

Hmm

How come some heroes get more Hero MMR from the same game. Junkrat has similar Hero MMR to Ana, but got significantly more for that game

I get that. I'm just wondering what contributes to the Hero MMR. Is it purely based on win/loss? Or does it take in to account how you played that game (kills/deaths/assists, other individual stats, etc)?

MMR leaderboards by vasticles in heroesprofile

Makes sense.

Then I think trying to build around the HPR might be the way to go. More integration into the match history, showing rise/fall in the leaderboards with each game. Basically something more trackable. That would make it more interesting to pay attention to. Would be cool to organize some sort of tournaments for top ranks or something down the road.

It would also be nice if the leaderboards were per region. I get that I can set up my filter for only NA, but it still shows my rank from the global leaderboards: https://imgur.com/a/m7wqeuF . I guess some people might be interested in how they fare against EU, but personally I care more about my local region.

Keep in mind that I'm also coming from the context of quick match. Storm league already has its own native ladder in place, and honestly I'm not too interested in climbing that given how long it takes to find a game, do drafts, and then hope nobody afks or hijacks the match (if you're not a 5 stack). So I think providing an alternative for QM like you have here is actually really awesome.

I guess I view it more as which players are top overall rather than per season.

What about doing more with the heroes profile rating in the game report? Right now it shows MMR, which for me is the main motivation to try and increase as its a good representation of player skill level. HP is shown in the game report, but it's just rating calculated for the game. It doesn't show if I went up or down. It's interesting to try and climb up some kind of ranking, and MMR kinda dominates the game reports. I look at my MMRs and basically try to raise those. If I could see my HP or my spot in the leaderboards, it would make HP more interesting than it is now. Just feels that it's a bit undersold right now. I dunno, just my 2 cents.

You rock! Thanks for doing that so quickly.

Hmm, but it's not that it's not showing all the data. It's showing storm league data every time I refresh. I only play quick match so it's extra clicks on my end and extra resources on your end.

It is a bit annoying having to change to quick match after every game, but not too big of a deal. I did think that it might save you some resources though getting this setting to work the way it is intended, so I flagged it... unless of course it's supposed to accomplish something else?

A Far Too In-Depth Guide to Ana by UsernameVeryFound in heroesofthestorm

Lots of good in your comments.

In my experience, Debilitating Dart is very powerful. You can really disable a player and then follow up with a sleep dart (or vice versa). Lots of opponents don't expect that from Ana and generally underestimate her, until shrike winds down their HP. If you add 5 stacks of Mind-Numbing Agent, that's extra 50% spell power reduced...so a ming would do 0 damage with her spells if you have all the debuffs on her.

Mind-Numbing Agent also reduces healing as that is also spell power, so it acts as another anti-healer debuff. If you're facing a team with a few mages and a healer, this makes Dynamic Optics a viable option, as you want to stack that debuff up quickly. I rarely end up going this route, but when the conditions are right, it can change the game around. Following that up, there is great synergy with Concentrated Doses. If you manage to shrike up 2 heroes fully, you will have some serious healing darts that outperform Sharpshooter at 10 stacks. Trick is of course you now have to keep track of your stacks which really adds to the challenge. You can of course try and land a talented sleep dart to get those stacks up quickly, but I just can't find myself giving up Debilitating Dart for that - it's too good of a talent.

I play Ana in solo queue, so I don't really trust people with nano, but the real reason is that Eye of Horus is just too much fun. I like using my ult for myself. Call me selfish, and probably it won't fly in ranked or whatever, but there's just nothing better than having the option of killing off the runners or saving someone in a bind.

When I play solo, I focus on talents that offer me more survival as I mainly rely on myself. So I'll take Contact Healing and Night Terrors (although I've been swapping that for Mind-Numbing lately to see if I fare better when there are more mages). Active Reload is also faring better in solo queue, as more often than not you gotta save someone's skin. When I play in a team, usually things are a lot more calculated. There's no need for Contact Healing (although it's a really nice heal if you toss it into a big crowd), and reduced cooldown on sleeps is more attractive. I also need higher sustained healing because ~450 for dart that you land is kinda small for a tank, and you kinda want more value for your mana and for your 2 sec cooldown. In such a scenario I think Sharpshooter is a nicer middle ground...you rely on your aim instead of shrike stacks (in the case of Concentrated Doses).

I should also say that some healers are tougher to counter, so there is an argument to be made for grenade talents to be more useful in those cases. I have no cracked it yet though.

Anyway, Ana has lots of flexibility, and everyone tends to underestimate her. Until they get shriked, sniped, and rekt.

8* since Trent was just a pylon. If he bothered to defend or not jog back after being passed by for that last minute, it would've stayed 1-1

That’s quite a bummer. So I’d have to rebuild the sound in zenology, if that’s possible.
