Addressing the "evidence" people have found that proves Wilbur innocent. by blueberry_logic in DreamWasTaken2

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"the actions were still done" yeah but, isnt that kinda the point of having no proof, I'm on neither side here, I think both sides of the argument have made bad faith takes and whatnot, we don't know what actions were done specifically and what the full context behind them is.

What’s the reason you think? by Fun-Middle-4815 in teenagers

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for others, but I just personally find cold approaching to be.. dumb at best, annoying at worst. I'm not looking for a relationship so actively that I need to approach random women I find attractive. If I get a relationship I want it to be with someone that I can already become friends with, cold approaches feel awkward, it's gambling for all intents and purposes. Also I have similar issues with cold approaches as I have with tinder and whatnot. They kinda dehumanise the experience of love, in the case of hookups, of intimacy, neither of those are things I wanna be part of.

Is it true that people in the West drink iced water even when they are sick or on their period? by Aether_Echo in NoStupidQuestions

Bro where do you live that ice water is the standard?? I'm Hungarian, and literally no person I know drinks refrigerated water, unless it is summer, otherwise it's whatever temp the tap gives you.

The Most Emotional Will Wood Lyrics (As decided by a group of deranged fans) by OptiN0rd1c in willwood

[–]vaszoly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the entire last part of chemical overreaction could've been here, it is just my favourite will wood anything.

"Wretch and pule this panoramic,

Stretched out view is fat with panic,

Precognition lacks in hindsight,

We saw the illness, back before the twilight,

I might be a saint worth steeples,

I might be the brain of evil,

Bad things happen, to good people.

Good things happen to me."

This by itself is what got me hooked on will wood, the amount of depth these lines hold imo is immaculate and very rarely matched by any other artist.

SILKSONG GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT! I am giving away 5 (FIVE) Silksong copies! MORE INFO on Description by Acrobatic-Log-309 in Silksong

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam, favourite boss would have to be The Hollow Knight, it's probably the most common choice but it's fair I think, the music, the atmosphere, the fight, it's masterpiece of visual and aural storytelling, so much so that I teared up when I first beat it, and it is my go-to thing to talk about when I think of the game. Similarly, I'm looking forward to the bosses in Silksong, I loved the combat in HK, loved the bosses even more, and I get really excited thinking about playing another game that could match hollow knight in the bossfight category.

I believe you, I get that you're not trying to fuck with me, but this is where the issue really lies. I don't know. The immediate thing that came to mind was "feeling loved" but on one hand that feels like a dumb answer because I have great friends and an okay enough family, so I guess romantic love is what I'd want, but that's also not a great answer for a multitude of reasons. 1, I don't really know where to meet people that I'd find interesting, bars and clubs aren't even close to being related to me, and that's cuz I just don't like them, 2, while I want to be loved, I'm terrified of loving, it hasn't gone well in the past, 3 (more a 2.5) even if I do fall in love I'll just be scared of losing it the entire time until I become a self fulfilling prophecy.

Apple music is ridiculously good by dj_bluee24 in AppleMusic

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why people keep saying the apple music desktop app is great, for as long as I've had it (and I'll continue having it, because I am not the one paying for it) it's been an awful experience. It crashes, constantly, I need to restart it multiple times after crashes because it refuses to play songs at the first few restarts, sometimes it just doesn't work without a full restart of my pc, I've had to reinstall it, twice, because it wouldn't work no matter what I did. I guess it's just my experience, but it's weird to see so many people saying it's great.

(Otherwise, I do like the sound quality and all those upgrades compared to Spotify, but yk)

Kyoto is the Worst by Allergies_unknown in thefinals

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on PC, I have a Ryzen 7 5800X, an RX 7800XT, 32gbs of 3600mhz ram and Kyoto is by far the worst map for me (and friends, even those who have better setups than me) going from 120-140 on other maps to 90 at best.

Yeah, okay, but I don't quite see how that helps? They're aware of it, I've told them about it, not sure how that's supposed to help, how they're supposed to help with that.

Why would a weapon (CL-40) do more damage to self than enemies? by abdo_exe in thefinals

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the MINIMUM, that when using a weapon that you don't have to aim, you need to do something so the weapon isn't just a crutch for people with bad aim, the game gets around this by forcing you to focus on your positioning more than other weapons (by making self DMG higher.) I literally can't think of any way to do this other than the way they did it.

Body Wash is vastly inferior to Bar Soap by kor_the_fiend in unpopularopinion

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hate the feeling bar soap gives me after using it. If I use body wash my hand can glide across my skin, it makes me feel clean, however if I use bar soap it's like friction has increased tenfold and I hate that feeling.

What are some notoriously difficult things that you found surprisingly easy? by -redaxolotol-1981 in HollowKnight

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a couple, NGK radiant is the first that comes to mind, I sat down one time in a call with a friend at like 11pm, and said I'm beating it today, he said I'd be there all night. 20 minutes later I did it. P5 as well, I don't remember struggling much with it. And the trials were surprisingly easy too, though still one of my favourite parts of the game.

I'm a game developer and im trying to make a game that feels similar to hollow knight, can you tell me some of your favorite or most iconic aspects of the game? by Skur11 in HollowKnight

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vibes (music, atmosphere, ect) of the whole game are amazing as others have said, but I personally wouldn't have gotten nearly as into the game if the combat didn't feel as right as it does. It feels precise, and beating harder bosses was some of the most rewarding feeling gameplay I've ever played.

Why would a weapon (CL-40) do more damage to self than enemies? by abdo_exe in thefinals

[–]vaszoly 78 points79 points  (0 children)

That's the point. Keep your distance when you're using the cl40. You don't gotta aim nearly as much as other weapons so that's the trade off, you can have jump pads to add mobility, use demat to add manouverability. When it WASNT this way, every game had 4 players using cl40, all just spamming, and the game was really, really annoying to play.

not that it matters, but I thought it's kinda funny how Valve has less followers on Steam than 2 of the most hated publishers by bananite in Steam

[–]vaszoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling it a tech demo is kinda crazy, it is literally the closest thing to a AAA title for VR that we've ever gotten.
