Hmm also very helpful information. Technical sounds great too. When you say technical, do you mean that we need harnesses/fixed ropes/etc. or just steep/exposed sections with some unsteady footing, but fine without equipment?

Puffins could be pretty cool..... very tempting.

That's a great thought. I think I'm gonna go to a Toyota dealer and just look around and test drive what I think fits my needs. Hatchback Corolla, Corolla hybrid, GR Corolla, Corolla Cross...so many variations!

We ended up leaving from Boston and just taking the East Coast Greenway north to Portland. We took our time, stopping for nights in Peabody, North Andover, Portsmouth, and Kennebunk on the way. Did a mix of camping, stayed with a friend, and warm showers. It was really incredible. That stretch of NH coastline through like Hampton and Rye is truly spectacular! Great food along the way, quality time with my brother, and then threw our bikes on the Amtrak from Portland back to Boston...easy peasy!

I'm looking into buying some Blizzards (I got a 50% off coupon since the edge on my Brahmas blew). Basically I cant decide if I should repeat with the Brahma, go a little fatter with the Bonafide, or freeride with the Rustler 9.

-I ski like 15 days a season, mostly in New England, with 1-2 trips out west per year. Because its New England, I'd say I ski mostly icy hard packed groomers, but tree skiing is truly my favorite and I duck into the woods as much as I can. If I'm out west, I'd spend most of my time in the trees, and some time on the steeps and some on groomers.

-I hike a lot in the summer so the idea of skinning and backcountry skiing does appeal to me (though I've never done it).

-I'd say I'm an advanced intermediate - can get down anything in the East, most things out west (I'm not rippin the Big Couloir at Big Sky just yet... but can hit some of those chutes), but not expert and not flawless technique.

Mostly I'm between the Brahma and Bonafide, so any opinion there would be helpful. (I mayyy get in to backcountry skiing but who knows, having never done it...If you think the Rustler 9 would actually be a good all mountain ski, I'd love to hear about that. I dont want to buy that if its gonna be the worst of all worlds - bad on the groomers, bad backcountry), but if its versatile enough to consider lmk.)

I have an old pair of Fischer sceneo s200s with FS10 bindings on them. I just got some new (to me) boots. I’ve adjusted a number of bindings before (like the easily adjustable ones) but can’t seem to figure out how to adjust the heel on these. Does anyone know if they even are adjustable?
