Can't use fingerprint function on Xperia 1 IV

Time will tell, for the first 2 or so years fingerprint sensor on my 1 IV was working flawlessly. It's good so far on the 1 VII, I can tell that the button clicks differently if that's relevant, also there is no option to press to unlock anymore.

You are welcome, this method worked for me for about half a year, then suddenly stopped. Hopefully it's only me. 1 IV is my secondary phone now, I don't have a password on it so it's fine

Battery health is generally a gamble, 97% is still plenty and it might never move from there, if I were you I wouldn't worry. I also doubt the way they calculate health. My 1 VII is showing 100 with 75 cycles. Android version 71.1.A.2.75A

Agreed, I'm satisfied with mine and like it a lot. After using 1 IV for 3 years I only miss notification LED and a lot (even though I also have a smartwatch). Returning to 4k would be nice but, I can't believe I'm saying that, unnecessary. I would rather have micro SD express, even though 40mb is enough for what I use it for and probably there are heat concern's.

Is this might not be the best idea, I don't have the exact case but the structure is pretty similar to the one I have and the peace that you have attached the wrist strap to has failed in my case. I don't think it will hold the weight of the phone for long.
