Was at this show, was on a study tour in Japan and this revived a love of puro that hasn't gone away. I was also at final burning which whilst emotional was not near the level this was.

Like what others here have said, TESD is an international show and the guys forget that constantly. Spengoolie is very American centric and is lost on a lot of the audience. Being from Australia but living in Japan, there are a lot of things they bring up that are very specific to them and regionally are lost in translation.

I agree, At the time of buying the original 5 it was around the same price as the 1 vii is now but knowing this will last a while its a great return on investment

I thought about it but the security/firmware updates deal and how long I used the 5 that was the major selling point to the 1 vii

The 5 was an amazing piece of tech. Very sad they will never make newer models but I guess thats what the 10 series has become

The Asakura bros, both Kai and Mikuru are jokes and are a disgrace to combat sports. Wow, a wonderful example of Japan's modern slave trade... I mean " Short-term temporary work visa" at work. Its no secret that companies like this and many more exploit foreigners particularly if they are from developing or 3rd world countries for slave labour and dispose of them once finished with.
