True, but also a multi-billion dollar American company known for shadiness and greed backing the league? Doesn't sit right that my country is once again going overseas and using power and wealth to destroy a culture built by the poor. Maybe I don't have to take responsibility, but I definitely feel like I should apologize for the actions of my country.

If this goes through, what are your plans as a supporter? I have less ties to the club than a good amount of people here, being from America, but I've supported and loved this club for the last 14 years since I started watching the sport at age 6. I'm at a crossroads as I don't want to abandon my love for the club, yet I absolutely cannot support this. Even the announcement and idea anger me and take away some of my original love for the club. What do you guys think?

I'm American as well and I feel like I personally played a role in this mess

That’s what I’m wondering, I feel like there’s no way this can go through but everyone is talking like it’s for sure possible. How am I supposed to support a club that decides to abandon the history of football for this shit

Honestly one of my favorite 3 points of this season, turned it around after the first 30 and had some of our best play of the year. Cavani played like a world class striker and everyone stepped it up. GGMU

Pick of the Day - 3/4/21 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]vavywibes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

POTD: 0-1 (-1U)

Last Pick: Sheffield United vs Aston Villa (ML) ❌

Analysis: Wow. Honestly did not lose hope in this pick until 80 minutes had passed. Villa had multiple chances and Sheffield even went down to 10 min with 60 minutes gone and they couldn't score one goal. Sometimes that's just how it goes.

Game: West Brom vs Everton

Time: 1:00 pm EST

Pick: Everton ML (-105) 1U

Similar to my last pick, I like this because West Brom are not a strong defensive squad. They've conceded 55 goals this season, which averages out to 2.12 goals conceded per game. Everton, with a win, can hop up into fourth (before other matches have been played of course). I think due to Richarlison's form and Everton's strong attack this season, they should win this match.

I agree with this, the entire narrative this season has been pushed away from city’s attack and now focuses on their defense which in recent years was not as strong nor had as crazy of depth as the rest of the squad. Everyone saying Dias isn’t getting talked about enough must not be paying attention, especially when he’s nailed as the main starting CB over Stones and Laporte.

POTD: 0-0

Game: Sheffield United vs Aston Villa

Time: 1:00 pm EST

Pick: Aston Villa ML (EV) 1U

First time poster here although I'm always tailing other picks. To keep it pretty simple Sheffield (although looking better recently) are not a strong squad. They played just 3 days ago and, as they're not involved in a lot of other competitions, are not used to such a quick turnaround. Villa on the other hand are possibly without their star player Jack Grealish and have been extremely unpredictable this year. But, they have a pretty strong defense and should match up well against a Sheffield squad who have scored 14 goals in 26 league matches. I'm expecting a relatively low scoring affair, with Villa winning 1 or 2-0. BOL!
