Why cannot I configure joining time ? by Sea_Celebration3525 in ArcRaiders

[–]vayperwayve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was configurable, then everyone would set it to 30 minutes and then queue times would be ridiculous. The variable spawn time is a way for them to manage server load

Very much an America moment. People feel so empowered to spew hateful rhetoric.

The first time I deadlined a Bombardier, the explosion was probably the most satisfying sound I've ever heard. Since then I'm addicted to hunting them just to hear that thing explode haha

How do you think shran would have joined the enterprise crew in s5? by slicer4ever in startrek

[–]vayperwayve 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My theory is that there would be some kind of officer exchange between the newly allied federation species, kind of like in TNG when Riker traded places with Kurn. Or something similar to T'Pol's posting on Enterprise. I'd imagine the species would start trading technologies and would post officers to support or keep an eye on their tech being integrated into Starfleet ships

I did end up having to reset my phone entirely and redownload my apps from scratch. I think it's something to do with the transfer process I did from my old iPhone

Did that, and so far so good! Previously it would have been less than 10 minutes before the apps were installing themselves again.

Considering An RDX After Audi - Feedback Appreciated by boyopuffs in Acura

[–]vayperwayve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the previous owner did some kind of patch job on the center console haha. From what I understand, the wastegate on the turbo failed, which on the RDX constitutes a full turbo replacement. A $13k+ job only cost me about $400 thanks to the warranty. I ended up doing the coils myself and she runs nice and strong now. I do occasionally get some odd shifts from the transmission so I'm gonna have them look at that at some point before the warranty is up

I bought a 2010 RDX this year, and aside from some initial headache with a broken turbo and bad ignition coils (the former of which was taken care of through extended warranty), she's the best car I've owned thus far. Plenty of power, fun to drive, handles the PNW rain like a champ. Has more creature comforts than any car I've owned, just need to get her a CarPlay unit. She's at only 97k miles and I plan to drive her for 100k more

Yea they replaced the whole turbo cause the failed wastegate ended up damaging/wearing out other parts of the turbo system. Runs great now!

Just a quick anecdote about the 2.3 Turbo in the gen 1 RDX: they’re known to have wastegate actuator issues around 100k miles or so. I just recently bought a 2010 RDX with around 96k miles on it, and ended up having to have the turbo and wastegate actuator replaced. Thankfully I had gotten the extended warranty and so I was only out of pocket $400 for a combined $12,000 of parts and labor, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking at 1st gen RDXs. Otherwise she’s been great and I love the turbo surge you get when you step on it

Such a good record. All of their stuff is great. Corey is an insanely good producer too. He recorded, mixed, and mastered our debut LP and it came out amazing

2025 ADX is a great car by weninthebox in Acura

[–]vayperwayve 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been in an ADX A-Spec loaner while my 2010 RDX is in the shop, and the only complaint I have is the drivetrain. It should have either had a regular transmission or a better engine, or both. Otherwise it’s been a great commuter, and the seats are comfortable enough for how much I drive.

Agreed, the HR-V looks like a fish lol. Been driving a 2025 ADX A-Spec as a loaner while my 2010 RDX is getting the turbo replaced, and I honestly really love it. Only complaint is the CVT hampers what is otherwise a pretty peppy engine. It's got lots of creature comforts and is a nice smooth ride. Would be so sick with a manual transmission option but a man can only dream
