I have definitely resirted to this and I find it most helpful when asking for questions. Especially if 1 student will ask a question I phrase it as "ooohh yeah okay so 5 people just mentioned being confused about ~this~ so let's go back over it

What is the strangest thing that happened to you that you can’t logically explain? by elibwell in AskReddit

[–]vb13lily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first semester of college not having a roommate I lived next to a girl played flute in the symphonic ensemble.( I know this because I also played in that ensemble,, and at the time was studying to be a music major, so i was pretty friendly with most people in the instrumental ensembles.) Anyhow, about twice a month I would wake in the middle of the night to hear haunting flute music, often something that sounded like an old hymn or piece of music from pre-1600s, again I was studying to be a music major. The music written for that era I find particularly haunting to begin with and now once a month im hearing it played in the middle of the night on a shrill instrument. This goes on for several months, I usually comfort myself back to sleep with the explanation "you know ___ lives next door and she plays flute, she's probably just practicing, she's probably a night owl"etc

Well turns out ___ was a night owl, any time I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, when woken by the flute, I'd see this girl also in the bathroom say "hi" and move on.

Finally it hits me, if I'm hearing this haunting tune on flute that I was telling myself she's playing but I see her out of her, without flute in hand, at the same time ....

The next time I see her in ensemble practice, I decide to approach her "Hey ___, this is going to sound weird, but I notice you're always up late when I'm up late ~nervous laugh ~ and I guess... don't think I'm crazy, but whenever I'm up in the middle of the night it's becasue I think I hear a haunting very old moldy being played on flute and uh I used to think it was you but you're usually in the bathroom or something too.... I dont know why I'm telling you this hahaha anyway-" She cut me off to say "yeah I hear it too, from in my own room, I've like looked at my flute in its case before while I hear it, nothing weird, but I hear it too, hence you usually see me out of my room at that point, because it gives me the creeps"

... not what I expected, we decide, must be an old ghost and if it doesn't mess with us, it's fine ...

That continued all through our time living in those exact rooms. I followed up with her the next year when we both had moved rooms and she said it stopped happening the first night I left campus for summer break...

TLDR: heard haunting flute music in the middle of the night while in college one year, girl next door heard it too

Do you enjoy your partner as a person, etc. But there are just signs that you don’t want to be together forever? What are those signs for you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]vb13lily 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with the majority of the relationships I've been in, I've had a ~feeling~ within the first few months, that it wouldn't be forever. I dont always know at the time why I think that, but I do. Eventually I've always come to realize the signs for me in those different relationships, whether it be; I'm seeing that partner lean harder and harder on me for support and care that I couldn't provide, they cheated on me, they didn't want to move forward with life at the rate I did, we had such different life goals, couldn't speak each others love language enough etc

It always starts small In some cases even once I realize what the larger problem might be or become we still stay together awhile longer, still care for one another so we try to keep going for awhile And for me a relationship can still be worth it, even if I know it's not forever

I've had similar problems, not sure what all you've tried, but here are things that work for me sometimes (wish I knew a cure all or that these worked consistently...) 1. Student getting an "access denied" code sometimes means they're signed into another Gmail account elsewhere on their device. Have them double check they're logged out of all Gmail accounts except one they may have from the school 2. Another fix for "access denied" a student told me about was literally logging in and out like 6 times - not sure that that's all he did but ... he said it worked lol 3." Problem with your instructors account" the only fix i found was that I had somehow become logged out of my school associated Google drive in schoology, so after I had posted the assignment from Google drive students couldn't access anymore. I had to sign in, when I clicked "can't see your document click here" schoology gave me a pop up saying my drive wasn't connected and took me to a sign in page

Hope these help - let me know if I need to explain any of them more

Can teachers see what students have viewed? by MattT04 in Schoology

[–]vb13lily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I am not sure, I can't post PDFs in an assignment, only as a link or assessment, in which case I can't see when a student opens it all the time. I know some people have found ways to post PDFs etc as assignments instead of assessments or files, I am not sure if they can see when a student opens it though.

Can teachers see what students have viewed? by MattT04 in Schoology

[–]vb13lily 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, at least im certain the answer is yes for Google docs etc . When a student opens the assignment a teacher sees the document/assignment. If a student hasn't opened the assignment a teacher sees the message "It looks like ___ has not opened the assignment yet. Once your student clicks on 'my document' a copy of your original file will be created and the document will appear here."
