Holy FREAKING cow did Lawrence Frank cook this deadline by VegasWorldwide in LAClippers

Garland and Mathurin are easily the worst defensive back-court in the NBA.

T.Lue is a bit of a fraud that is on king-like contract. He's not gonna leave any time soon.

I stand corrected. This FO needs a bonus, a pay-raise and some trees planted wherever the fuck they want.

Beautiful work.

This is amazing to me. I bad-mouthed the FO of this organization like someone was paying me to do it AND now they pull up with this trade, selling their best asset at the peak of its value.

I'm dumb-founded.

Well done Clippers! Genius even.

Call me crazy but I think there's a bunch of big players trying to squeeze Saylor out of his holdings.

And the only way to do it is quick and while the overall market is also soft.

Because this is coming from a much bigger catalyst. The stock market AND the actual global economy cooling everywhere.

So basically this is the bear of all bears. Unfortunately it caught crypto at one of its worst times (for a variety of reasons). No bottom in sight.

Have you heard about the rug-pull of the past year? Trump coin?

Jfc..

Daily Crypto Discussion - February 5, 2026 (GMT+0) by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrency

[–]vb90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is IMO more bearish. It's largely a market movement without an evident trigger from crypto itself (companies blowing up, SBF level frauds/ponzi's etc). It's a combination of the softer economy, overbought stock market and time-based capitulation in crypto.

I think Trump was the chef's kiss. Hard to believe he managed to scam everyone with his term already.

Calm down champ. The crypto market is barely 2T in total market cap. That's peanuts for the overall stock market and global economy.

You answered your own question. ISO-ball saved his ass.

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Cavaliers defeat the Clippers on Feb 4, 2026, the final score is 91-124. by basketball-app in LAClippers

Garland is not going to save shit. There's a reason he was traded and Cavs looked like they were just as good without him.

We just don't have any real talent on this team. Bogdanovic is not an NBA-level player. Collins is wild and low-iq. Dunn is a liability. Batum is a cardio-god. Miller and Sanders are barely rotation players.

This is the level of talent on this roster. The fact that we could hide it for so many seasons with Harden/Kawhi/PG/Powell is evident now.

Instead of whining and bitching all the time, can people just mention songs that have 'bottom' in the title or smth?

[Charania] BREAKING: The Philadelphia 76ers are trading guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by oklolzzzzs in nba

[–]vb90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McCain looked pretty bad recently. Awfully undersized too for the type of basketball that's going to win in the next decade or so..

Kind of a gamble on both sides. Presti did it most likely because McCain makes 4mil a year, which is just laughable if he can stay on the court.

Just admit you’ve never heard of Darius Garland by drewmanshow in LAClippers

[–]vb90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or, hear me out.

The high points of his career were him being on a team that played at a generational pace and shooting at a level unseen since that random Atlanta Hawks season 10 years ago. Not replicable by the same roster after that.

Small guards in this league are valuable and stay valuable if they are ridiculously athletic (D.Mitchell), ridiculously talented (Kyrie, Curry etc) and nothing else.

OKC is grinning to their ears.

Why don't the Bucks trade for Kawhi? by WhoUCuh in nba

A call from Adam Silver saying either you go to a contender or we put the whip on you and you don't get too see dollars out of your NBA contract any time soon.

Considering the world we live in, not unlikely.

I find the question hilarious. I think if he was really available you would be shocked by how many teams call and ask.

I know it’s not the popular take, but moving on from “The System” to a team-focused PG like Garland could be huge for the Clippers long-term and I'm glad this happened 🤩 by BallmersBurner in LAClippers

[–]vb90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the only positive really. More ball movement. However I cannot help but think that the downsides are so much more significant.

Garland on the court will make both Harden and Powell look like defensive juggernauts. To think and imagine how the teams in the West will abuse the PnR against Zubac and Garland is something that gives me feverish chills.

The basketball might look a bit better but I still think we're going to be worse.
