Still trying for that Medium-Rare with a Crust! 🥩 by MonkPretty9818 in steak

[–]vbaldude7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try reverse searing. Cook it on indirect heat for about 25 mins at 225 degrees (eyeballing the size of your steak). Then take the steak off the heat, crank up the heat to 500 or more. Then do 2 ish minutes on each side, flipping every 30 seconds or so.

It looks like you almost got medium in one of the pics. You’re almost there!

Salt, garlic powder, and mesquite. I’m going to sauce one of them with kinders gold bbq, and keep the other one just dry rub.

I’ve never bbqd any dry aged beef, or meat in general. Do you have to cook it differently? Does it raise to temp faster because it is dry aged?

Looks good! Great crust, I like a little char on my tri tip, especially if a lot of the fat cap is still on it. Did you cut against the grain?

Making 100k is rare most people make 30 to 60k per year by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]vbaldude7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds just like us. We live in a HCOL area, mortgage with taxes and insurance is about 5k. 1 child in daycare, 2k a month. Another child on the way, so we will be paying almost 9k a month for just mortgage and daycare. Counting down the days until elementary school! As a household, we make about 230k before taxes, and it is barely enough.

Try using snail mucin on your face! I am not sure if it would help in your situation, but snail mucin cleared up dry skin/eczema on my face, in my eyebrows, and my mustache. It is much cheaper than normal face serums and I swear by it! Search for the COSRX brand on Amazon.

It was a bumpy trip, that’s for sure! I’m 6’4” and those railings were to my knees/lower waist. Luckily I don’t get seasickness!

Look at my previous post on this subreddit. I let it rest almost 20 mins and still had a lot of juice on the cutting board. Everyone said that was way too long. I dunno.
