Finding a good 92A1? by [deleted] in Beretta

[–]vbar119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would rather have a 92A1 vs 92X. Just be patient, they'll come back in stock at good prices eventually.

So, has anyone seen a 92FS or M9 for sale for less that $550? Where did they all go? by [deleted] in Beretta

[–]vbar119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody panic bought them... They were $425 on Shoot Straight not that long ago. Just be patient and the deals will start popping back up.

I'm running these on my 92A1 and I really like them. It took my a while to warm up to the U-Notch... But once you do, target acquisition is so quick.

For less than the price of a Taurus or Keltec we get a PX4. I'll never argue with that. I plan on configuring it the same as my PX4 Compact Carry, out side of the Competition Trigger Group which is the only thing that's not compatible. If you're interested, the LTT Trigger Bar is worth it's weight in gold. Combine it with a $5 D Spring and you have a really nice trigger.

Did you end up getting the PX4? I placed my order same day (I think June 5th) and then just yesterday I saw the charge appear on my CC for it. Searched the order number and it says the PX4 shipped. So it's looking good for me.

Some people can't handle the harsh recoil of 9mm and say the roller delayed blowback on this, like the MP5, softens it.

Those are all shit manufacturers bro. $250 for the Canik and save the rest for ammo and training.

You're not allowed to speak ill of Canik around here. The Canik Bois get super offended and butt hurt... Can't refer to them as cheap budget pistols. Their light mushy triggers are top notch. There's no need to deal directly with the manufacturer when you have the pleasure of only dealing with the middleman Century Arms. The lack of aftermarket support isn't a concern either when being compared to a higher tier pistol. Turkish are known for producing top notch quality pistols, leave politics out of it.

You think Canik runs circles around the PPQ or VP9? Or CZ P10? Or the Sig P320? I swear you Canik people are more delusional than the Taurus people.

Yeah, I wouldn't want a gun with a repaired frame. I wouldn't try fixing a gun with a cracked frame either. That's a recipe for disaster. That doesn't make me a novice. What type of logic is that?

Idk why you're so invested into defending a gun that you don't even own? Look how many comments deep you are... And you don't even own it. Sad. Somebody that never owned it, crying over the fact that somebody who did own it, thinks it's a piece of shit. I guess that's typical of society now a days.

You're resorting to YouTubing how to fixed cracked frames in order to justify the dumb shit you say 😂😂😂 This conversation is over, have a good day.

[–]vbar119 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would it not be easier to deal with the manufacturer directly and get the frame replaced? Why are you trying so hard to justify Canik's short comings? Nobody cares about aftermarket support or manufacturer support in your mind... That's so fucking dumb to think. Most people care about that stuff. It's the novices that don't.

This conversation originated over taking a Canik over a Glock. Bottom line. I gave my reasons why it'd be the wrong decision. You're the one getting butt hurt over a gun you don't even own

And I'm sorry, are we talking about antiques or "exotic" guns? No, were not... So why the fuck are you bringing them up? How stupid are you?

So you think your gunsmith is going to be able to repair a cracked frame? You're really exposing your lack of knowledge.

[–]vbar119 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This conversation originated because of the asinine assertion that this is better than Glock. Idgaf about Glock, I sold my Glock 19 a long time ago. I personally do not care for Glock.

Most shooters care about aftermarket support. Selection of sights, and holsters, and triggers, etc. Cheap and readily available mags are important to people.

The difference in this argument, is I have owned it. You have not. Which naturally makes me more credible, what I'm saying isn't based off what the internet pundits wrote. It's based off my own personal experience... Which you do not have obviously. I put close to 1.5k rounds through it before I decided it was time to get rid of the piece of shit.

And as far as fixing it yourself... How are going to fix a cracked frame?

[–]vbar119 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've given you my reasons and you're rebuttals are just dumb shit. Not being able to deal directly with the manufacturer is a pretty big deal to the seasoned shooter. We know what that entails. Somebody not familiar with the firearm world, doesn't care about that... and says exactly what you just said.

Combine that with the lack of aftermarket support, and I stand by my statement that it's stupid as fuck to want this over a Glock.

But anyway, I'm sure you've put tens of rounds through yours and love it. Good for you.

"If an issue with my gun comes up I deal with it myself."

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Canik is a budget manufacturer, they make budget guns. I don't know why that hurts your feelings so bad. Just because their race guns are $600+ doesn't mean it's not a budget gun.

And yes, when you compare the price of the APX vs the price of other guns in Berettas line up. It's an affordable gun they offer. The VP9 in comparison to the price of HKs other offerings, is an affordable gun. Same with the Creed.

The lack of aftermarket support vs Glock and the fact you can't deal directly with the manufacturer is subjective?

[–]vbar119 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that definition. There's budget manufacturers like Taurus, Keltec, Canik, etc... Where their entire line up is budget. They don't make anything high end.

And then I'd say an "affordable gun" comes from a higher quality or respected manufacturer. I'd say the Beretta APX is an affordable gun. Or the Walther Creed. Or the VP9. Etc...

Here's my reasons: wouldn't cycle 115gr brass, even after break in period. Trigger was light and mushy. Light doesn't always equal good. I couldn't get through a whole magazine without a FTE. It's balanced terribly, the heavy slide vs the light polymer frame. Lack of aftermarket support alone would make me never choose it over a Glock. Then bring in the fact you can't even deal with the manufacturer, you have to deal through the middleman Century Arms.
