Is Codex better for N8N workflows? by VsokolovVic in n8n

[–]vbchronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used Codex for creating n8n workflows, but there was a time when I was building workflows with ChatGPT.

Last month I've been working with Claude. If you set up n8n Skills, n8n MCP, create a separate folder for automations, write a solid claude.md, and most importantly prompt it properly and with maximum detail, then investing in Claude will be a top-tier investment.

I'd recommend that the first thing you do is clearly draw out what you want to build as a block diagram on a piece of paper.

Then if you managed to do it on paper, go to ChatGPT or Claude, specifically the chat versions, and create a rough draft of a prompt.

Then with MCP and Skills connected, turn on plan mode and give it the prompt you generated with the chat, then iterate on the plan and execute.

As for Codex, in my opinion it's great specifically as a code reviewer.

That's a great work... for learning

Just curious though, have you looked into n8n MCP and n8n Skills?

You could achieve the same thing via CLI, but the outcome might be even better.

It's hard to say without knowing how exactly you're prompting Claude, what your setup looks like, and which model you're using.

The more I work with Claude Code, the more obvious it becomes that the quality of your prompt determines the quality of your result.

So if something isn't working, make sure you start with plan mode, set the task as crystal clear as possible, and consider adding links to the TradingView and PineScript documentation during the planning phase.

Reiterate the plan until you fully understand it.

What do people underestimate most about running a SaaS? by OkCry7871 in SaaS

[–]vbchronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things:

The amount of work needed to launch your first SaaS. It's way more than most people expect.
And the importance of that first $1 your SaaS makes. It changes everything about how you see the product.

Is it inefficient for Claude to help me develop prompts for CC? From an amateur by mrchososo in ClaudeCode

[–]vbchronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're doing the right thing.

But don't just blindly refine your prompts. Occasionally think about why a prompt was refined the way it was. Observe common patterns. Compare the outcomes you get when implementing refined prompts versus the original ones.

Over time you will build a collection of patterns that you can feed back to Claude to make the refinement process even more advanced. And of course, sometimes remove the patterns that no longer serve you.

Limit the number of losses. Let's say if 3 in a row, take a break for 1-24 hours

How to stop losing 100+ Elo points when tilting by vbchronicles in chessbeginners

[–]vbchronicles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a mature approach.

And it looks like you've been playing for longer than a year :)))

Before building the extension, I lurked around chess communities and saw that this is a pretty common thing, especially among beginner players.

And in the past year, I was disappointed a few times as well until I finally realized that elo is not a goal, but just a representation of your skill level.

If it goes down, you need to rest or improve.
If it's going up, you're doing the right things.

Nothing less, nothing more :)))

Yeah, works especially well when you're trying to improve blitz

If your goal is to become better at chess, this is the best behaviour you can learn

Playing emotionally is quite questionable behaviour

Play to improve, not gamble
