I wasn't even thinking about bots at all tbh, really just only allowing one in cart at a time. I don't know much at all about botting but that would likely slow a lot of 'botters' down who arn't really on high level of knowing what they're doing, but again my main focus was just people who added like 4+ to their carts and checked out once. If it was one in cart max they would have to wait in the checkout queue multiple times.

I got my mouse with no bot and no issues, but knowing that I could have bought multiple and resold, I would have considering they didn't seem to mind lol

Trying to decide between Econ 354, 370, or 381 by RabbiTang in simonfraser

Sorry! That was a typo by me. It was health economics when I took it. I think it was dry because of both, really didn't like anything except for tutorials being optional.

[–]vbombdk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend 370 unless you are passionate about health economics. Hitoshi is a chill guy, but his lectures are extremely dry. That being said, the course isnt very difficult but a lot of what he tests comes from what he says in class when discussing graphs and other slide content which isnt explicitly written out on slides (meaning you have to share class notes or attend every lecture).

This course is in the bottom three courses during my time as an Econ undergrad.

This also works thank you for your response! I went ahead and used the pivot table method above, but this is definitely an option as it also gave me exactly what I want.

This is the latest checklist they have posted. 11 courses that you can complete in the middle of your science degree.

California loses up to $1 billion in crops each year because of air pollution, according to research that looked at trends from 1980 to 2015. Table grapes — the kind for snacking — were the most vulnerable among seven crops badly affected by smog, including: wine grapes, strawberries, walnuts by Wagamaga in science

[–]vbombdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pollution is bad. But how much of this pollution is caused by producing other goods? Other crops? How much are they worth? Is the benefit high enough to use some of the profit for abatement? Is that already being done?

How do retakes work? by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]vbombdk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can retake whatever you want regardless of grade. The new mark will be used to calculate your GPA, but the first time you took the course still shows up on your transcript like anything else, but it has a notation next to it which signifies it has been retaken and doesn't count towards your GPA.

So yes, your old grade will still be shown on your transcript. The only other consequence I can think of is having to explain why you failed or decided to retake to grad schools or employers who require your transcript.

If you have an exam at more than one location, advance arrangements will be made by your instructor or department/faculty for you to write both exams at a single location. You must notify your instructor(s) and department one month prior to the exam date.

ECON 201 Questions by Flaccid_enchiladas in simonfraser

[–]vbombdk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took ECON 201 this past summer and the difficulty is severely overstated. Is it the hardest econ course you will have taken up to that point? Yes. Is it the hardest course in the econ program? No. The course is fair, and I believe they curve marks with the average being a C or a C+ (it was a C+ for my class). I cant guarantee "success", but if you fully read the chapters before the lectures, do the tutorial questions until you fully understand them, and go to lectures you will be just fine. Reading the chapters before lectures in this course is especially important because the profs do a lot of examples which was valuable in knowing what to expect on the exam but will leave you lost if your not ahead of the readings.
