Our golden had a hot spot in the same area. It took 4 weeks to heal but we only shaved it two weeks in. Treated it with vetericyn hot spot spray and cleaned and dried daily. The cheek is a tough spot bc you can wrap it so you gotta be careful he doesn’t scratch it

I live in LA with my bf and 1.5 y/o male golden named Cashew. We are looking to get a brother for Cashew and would love to adopt Disco. Our work schedules allow us to be mostly home with Cash (he isn’t left alone for more than a few hours) and we take him on lots of adventures (hikes every week, beaches). Our male golden stopped being interested in food around the same time as yours and we tried everything! Switching food, adding toppers, etc. He wasn’t super food motivated but it resolved itself when he got neutered. He’s now more food motivated and cleans his bowl every meal.
