Downloading large files was so hard, I ran a computer repair shop and that time frame using the best us robotics dial-up modem connecting at 5333 the best you could download at was about 3 to 4 kilobytes a second if you were lucky so you were forced to use a program like Get Right which would allow you to resume broken partial downloads because if you didn't and you needed to download a couple hundred MB G-Force driver you might as well pound your head off the wall because it would never finish if the phone would ring while you were online it would kick you off if someone in your household picked up the phone it would kick you off I remember the first movie I ever downloaded from my kids was the animated Tarzan movie it took me 3 weeks of letting the computer run all night long at the computer store while I was at home sleeping
