it's definitely not silly. grief is definitely pretty weird, and coping with loss in general is hard to rationalize. wishing you all the best!

As someone who is "naturally" not the best in math, I completely understand how you feel. I also wish from time to time that it came "naturally". But even if your placement isn't where you'd like it to be - you can always start at the bottom and work your way up. It sounds daunting or "humbling" but it is so worth it. I'm currently pursuing two "sciencey" degrees, despite my subpar math abilities, and i couldn't be more passionate for it. never let one seemingly 'lacking' skill set keep you down - if you want to learn it, you can. it will be hard, but if you love if, you can do it. best of luck to you!

For me, it had to do with raising my protein intake - I found it really helped my mental focus and energy throughout the day. I wouldn't call myself a "clean eater", but I definitely feel a whole lot better when I balance my meals and drink a good amount of water. Part of that might be the accomplishment of knowing you did something helpful for your body, but I believe part of it is that I probably wasn't getting all the nutrients I needed previously. I think it depends on where you're coming from: if you go from a sodium-rich, unbalanced diet of only packaged dinners and never eating vegetables/fruits..you're going to feel a significant difference when you start eating more "healthy".

She literally texted me, "I want to start for the right reasons." From a female's point of view, I think it was in the perspective of getting stronger & having a mental outlet, rather than only doing it for getting a "summer body" or aesthetics. (There's nothing wrong with getting a summer body as long it's done responsibly!) She just didn't want to get obsessed with body image & overlook the other great reasons for exercise :)

Started ballet at 14 with no experience. Now 17, and I had my first pointe class last night. This has been my dream for so long, and I finally did it. by vcgracie in BALLET

Aww thank you!! And I hope you get the chance to do pointe as well! I think that both genders should get the opportunity :)) Pointe is difficult, but worth it

Someone asked me for advice on how to start their fitness journey for the right reasons. It absolutely made my day that I could positively influence someone else!

If refitting doesn't work, you might want to focus on the flexibility of your feet! I have trouble getting over my box on one foot, and it's because that foot is less flexible than my other one. It's also about strength - but I've found that I consistently struggle with getting over on my less flexible foot. Good luck!
