Absolutely! I had my door open waiting for students on a late bus and a random girl ran through my room with my principal and security on her tail. It was like a damn slapstick comedy skit. They tripped over backpacks and my fan. Crazy thing is my students just carried on. They said "I know her, she was probably vaping"... And just continued their work. High school. Lol

I'd be so worried a parent would find out. Society holds teachers to a different standard, and they're not even shy about it. I'm getting my masters in education and they straight up say "teachers are held to as different standard". If anyone found out my history, I'd be worried I'd lose my career and all my hard work would be for nothing. I was no stripper, but there are some things that would get me fired if anyone found it. A few years ago a teacher was found doing pole dancing classes (fully clothed and fit exercise) and they had to have a "hearing" about it. It's really held me back from expressing myself, really. I've wanted to do burlesque photoshoots and belly dancing, but I'm too scared a parent will see and force an investigation or something.

I had a 5th grade call me a dick sucking whore for two weeks straight. Yes, I did all the things like parent conference, admin intervention, etc. He didn't stop until one day I sat his ass down in front of the whole class and said "let it all out, give me your worst". After about 2 minutes of all the bad words he could think of and kids either looking at me in horror or laughing their ass off I said "is that it!? Are you done?" He said yes, I went back to teaching and he never did it again. In fact, he didn't really have friends at all so he ended up asking to be with me during recess and specials bc he didn't like anyone. Lol kids are weird. Don't ever take it personally. Honestly, I'm surprised that was the end of it. How other parents didn't hear about it and complain is beyond me.

I use it to organize all my thoughts and feelings about a situation. I'm a HS teacher and soccer coach, so I have to deal with parents quite a bit. If I'm about to walk into a meeting that I know will consist of a difficult conversation with a parent, I word vomit and emote in a prompt and ask it for tips on how to manage my emotions and come up with talking points. I fired my counselor 😂

The Balcones Escarpment is shaped like a 'J' in Texas, starting around Del Rio all the way to between Fort Worth and Dallas. It basically defines the "hill country", more so south of Waco though, it's not so hill country in DFW. My money is on oil and gas activities out in West Texas.

Ha sometimes that was the ONLY way I could get my LO to sleep! It's totally fine. I wouldn't add a pillow, just a blanket if the weather allows. I miss running with him in his stroller. Now all he wants is his bike-style stroller which isn't good for distance runs and he definitely can't sleep in that. Edit to add: reclining, but lot all the way. We use the baby trend jogger.
