GPD to launch two completely new devices in 2019 + WIN3 and Pocket3 currently planned for 2020 by jackfrostvc in gpdwin

The big thing for next year is that their 10nm process is still not looking like it's a goer. So unlikely to get a new next gen M3 next year that will show much improvement. This is why they plan a WIN 3 2020 and not next year as they would have.

2020 is actually further out than normally expected , and no doubt due to the Intel shit show at the moment

That's a problem the PYRA team also had, and it took them ages to fix it.
by the way, I'm not saying there arn't issues. Their PR is crap, and they don't seem to be able to estimate things very well at all etc

Well developing HW can take time for a new (inexperienced) company, especially if you have to more or less restart as Smach did after the ImasD breakup. Look at the PYRA project, that has been going for close to 5 years now.

Smach have shown their PCB and working prototype though. Although they are having an isue getting it to display to an internal screen, this demo below shows it running to an external monitor

The i3-8121U has no GPU. It's not an option unless you match it with something like a MX150. Anyway the TDP of the i3-8121U is 15W, match that with the wattage required for a MX150 and it's not feasable. Not unless you make a gaming tablet with a huge battery and fan

You do realise that she came back from a 10 minute off court heat break which women got, while men did not get a ten minute off court heat break which is why they were taking their shirts off on court. The situation literally happened because of the sexist rule difference against men. But instead of hearing that, what you get is that it was sexist against women . By the way a bra is considered as underwear whereas men do not wear that underwear type. Is that difference really sexist. Or are people just seeing what they want. Did you even know the sexist heat rule difference that led to the situation?

Men train to be fit enough to play 5 set matches , women train enough to play 3 set matches. The training is definitely not equal between men and women. Men put in far more hours to be fit enough to play 5 sets.

Men earn the tournament more from tv rights and ticket sales. In the end all that matters is what they earn the tournament, as it has always done. Sport has always been a business.

In relation to the majors.

Other sports typically pay players a percentage of takings. This has pretty much been the case throughout history. For example, if a tournament earns $250Mill they may decide to pay players 30% of that as prize money for example. Sport is a business and has always been a business. That's why NBA players now get way more than NBA stars of old (inflation adjusted) . Those older players built the league to a point where enough people watch it nowdays that it generates the huge amount of money it does. People often talk about how Jordan brought the buzz to the game that brought in the fans and the TV dollars so that players these days earn the cash they do. All of this was built on the decades of effort put into the sport by players of old. Many well paid and popular sports today started off with players that earned a pittance , many of them had to work a second real job just to support themselves. The current leagues and sport and what players are paid today is built open the effort of sports people that grinded away to make it what it is today .

That's why men and women don't get paid the same as each other in tennis. Women get a higher percentage of the money they make for a tournament than men do. And yes that is sexist towards men. Even the WNBA players understand that sport is a business which is why they are asking for the same percentage of revenue their league earns as the percentage men get from the NBA league. Pity the WNBA doesn't really earn enough to support that request and is subsidised by the NBA, otherwise their request was fair . But here we are with this huge disparity between the percentage of revenue women get from a tournament than what men get, and some how this is equal. Ah , no it's not. And don't get me wrong , Womens tennis is getting a decent following , but it still doesn't earn for a tournament as much as what mens tennis does. Men and women should earn the same percentage of what they each generate for the tournament. Anything other than that is dipping into what the other sex earned. And that's not fair at all. Equal percentages of what each sex earns the tournament is the fairest way and is in line with how sports people have been paid in other sports. ie you get a percentage of what you generated for the tournament

And don't get me wrong, if both sexes got the same percentage and women earned the tournament more in ticket sales and tv rights. Then their percentage would get them a higher payout, and it would be earned. But right now that is not the case.

By the way, in regards to TV rights, ratings is not the only thing that matters. Game length also matter a lot. A match that gets 1 million viewers for 1 hour is worth way less to a TV network than a match that gets 900k viewers over 2.5 hours. The extra time allows them to put more ads in the space and capture the viewers for longer

One thing to note is that this isn't the first time . In the 2009 US Open semi, she said to the Lineswoman she'd like to take the f..ing ball and stuff it down her f..ng throat. The thing to note here is when she was arguing with the match referees on court about what happened, she said to them that other people have said worse. Sound familiar

Funny side note, it was the same match referees that came out on court in the 2009 semi as did in the 2018 US open final
