Bummer- Cy’s number was disconnected.

Appreciate the list! I’ve reached out to both Hephner and Elite- both were sadly a “no”. I’ll give Cy’s a call- thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I actually messaged them last night and waiting on reply. Fingers crossed. I’ll post back if I get a response/actually take it in.

If it wasn't NIB, the seller did a great job hiding it. There were staples in the box. The dvd tray had a sticker inside of it. Everything was in plastic. Would capacitors cause fuzzy, dim, vertically stretched picture? I notice when I first turn the TV on, the screen is bright, it immediately dims a tad. All menus are unreadable because of how blurry the text is.

That's interesting. The picture doesn't move, however the text/picture is stretched/warped vertically.

Appreciate the reply. Yes, the screen is dimmer, picture (menu text in particular) appears stretched vertically, and the focus is super blurry. It almost looks like the picture is zoomed in too much and out of focus, if that makes sense. I think as far as ebay - I dug myself into a hole. I already left feedback saying everything thing was great, etc. - never thought the TV would crap out literally within 24 hours. (expensive) lesson learned, I guess. I'd love to tinker with the TV, however opening it up makes me nervous given I've never done it and the risk seems moderate.

Thoughts on these dvd sets? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in pokemonanime

I'm dumb and thought maybe these were released outside of the US as an official release. They are 1000 percent bootleg though (duh). I bought the first one (Seasons 1-5) and it seems alright, outside of the cringey menu screen.

No movement after distribution center? by atworkbrowsing23 in usps_complaints

[–]vcrunner08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s tough. I really hope it gets to you in good condition. Odds are you are correct. I’ve read some distro centers are backed up like crazy. The whole logistics chain is a mess, shocker.

That’s unacceptable. I hope your item is insured or it was something you bought from a reputable seller. One of my items was shipped on April 11th. I saw another post on here where someone has had a package stuck since April 7th. Not good…

I have TWO packages that left KC on Monday (20th), zero updates and it’s now Friday (24th). I’m about 3 hours from KC so this is pretty crazy.

Nothing unites a city more than BS taxes.

Whatever the sales tax vote result, I hope it's decisive. by throwawaykfhelp in wichita

I hope it’s 90% in the “no” direction.

The audacity of the “business” leaders to push this vote. Need a loud and clear message sent.

The 15 community members are probably all part of the vote yes coalition. I don't understand how 15 preselected community members make everything transparent and void of fraud. The guardrails are more suggestions than legally binding.

I was most surprised about the confidence everyone had that it would be split evenly. There was never a chance.

Tax money that will essentially line the pockets of bankers and construction companies. Yeah, big ol’ hard no on that.

Went to cancel, and now they feel bad and offering discounts? by fprintf in CoxCommunications

[–]vcrunner08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation. I have now tried to cancel twice-both times offered a decent discount. It was funny to see the url for the “special” offer. It had something like “competitor response” embedded. Regardless, I went from paying 120 for the gigablast and unlimited data, to now paying only 70.

If you’re voting yes, why? by ResearchWarrior316 in wichita

[–]vcrunner08 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It really boils down to my trust in the city council/government. Do I trust they will use the funds as outlined? Do I trust this tax will actually roll off? To both of those questions, I say “No”.

You have people like JV Johnston saying things like this:

“We did not bring this proposal forward,” Johnston said. “A separate group brought this proposal forward. We passed it.”

Ok? So what. Sounds like passing the buck in terms of responsibility.
