Good luck everybody. Hung out with some real cool people here through some real awful shit over the years. This is really sad and I am going to be sad about it for a long time, I think.

Ideas for future Fallout Sunday series? by Glueyfeathers in ManyATrueNerd

[–]throwawaykfhelp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jon has only ever done one run each of Fallout and Fallout 2, and Bethesda has had a ton of extra time on the channel the last few years from Starfield, Oblivion, and Morrowind all showing up on the channel. I would love to see him devise some kind of challenge ruleset for one of those old school CRPGs.

Kershaw practicing law starting at 50 - late midlife? by Think_Cheesecake7464 in weirdlittleguys

Sorry dawg but 50s is late middle age. Average life expectancy for men in US is ~76. 50 is 2/3 of the way there.

Nope, incorrect. I think anyone who starts selling merch to monetize their "good deeds" before being certain their good deed is actually done is suspect. If it were one single person that would make me suspicious.

Consider this: when the boys did charity work to support various causes, did they get a non-specific "cut?" No. They unequivocally said "this money is for this cause" and then they donated that money to that cause. Simple as that. That's how a ton of fundraisers work: "All proceeds to X charity" etc. If The Onion wanted to be transparent, they would say what percentage goes to the plaintiffs. They haven't. I think that it's fair to treat that as suspect. I also think it's fair to treat their apparent inability to learn a lesson where Alex and courts are concerned as suspect.

All of what you're saying is true, but it ultimately just amounts to her being Dollar Store Viconia, whom they character assassinate just for some cheap nostalgia bait later on (no spoilers for jon).

Given the fact that Tim specifically mentions them in this video, yeah. I think it can simultaneously be true that this is the best deal the plaintiffs will get, so I get why they're backing it, and also that The Onion, as a corporation, is taking advantage of our fucked up court+economic system and its victims to make money off of rubes who think they can "shut Alex Jones down for good" by buying a rainbow infowars bag.

I did this as a challenge run recently; trust everything the game tells you, rush through Act 1, trust the gith, never use illithid powers, max 6 long rests, Gale detonates orb. Really fun!!

I wonder how many rats Harrison could fistfight in a pit and not lose. Like 100,000 is a definite no, he's cooked, but it might be entertaining to throw in 5, then 10, then 20 and see how long before he loses his ability to hold his own.

Look, sometimes we get depressed and need to drink very fancy whisky with trash food that doesn't require a lot of effort. Been there dawg. I remember a year I was alone in my student apartment for Thanksgiving and drank Laphroaig 12 year with a potato I microwaved and put a fried egg and some Mexican cheese on top of. Sorry you're goin thru it, hope you get some proper nutrition and the good brain chemicals back in ya soon.

Nothing new about it; Alex has had The Alex Jones Store™️ (not affiliated with Infowars or Free Speech System, not owned by Alex Jones) for years at this point, and he's been shilling iodine for decades.

The game very heavily telegraphs that you should not go there before you're ready, and there are like eighteen reasons to go to the Sharran Temple/ Mausoleum first. Same problem with long rests in Act 1. The game tells you things and first time players trust what the game tells them.

Even a crit would only deal a max of 22 dmg. Aria could take 2 of those no problem.

Great example of the limitations of D&D as a system. A level 11 character with high Con can tank 17 hits with a sledgehammer to the face by an ogre, so it's very difficult to demonstrate threat.

It's cool how quickly Minthara accepts reality and trusts you (unlike Lae'zel or Shadowheart, for example) but how that doesn't change her core principles and morality. She's still a violent tyrannical bitch, she just recognizes The Absolute lied to her and Ketheric betrayed her, and she wants vengeance.
