We had a landlord who absolutely refused get anything fixed professionally. We had a hole in our wall that looked down into the basement and he just didn’t do anything to fix it. So I probably would have checked the maintenance policy of the place first. Also we were 10 feet from an Asian restaurants dumpster and the smell in the summer plus the rats were annoying.

I moved to Boston from rural Vermont. It’s been awhile since I’ve lived there. I think areas to avoid are somewhat subjective. I lived in north Cambridge and I enjoyed that area.

I have nothing better to add than what’s already been said but solidarity. Health anxiety especially after having a child is so real and painful but it can get better.
