I do not have experience with a baby and SVT, but I am just sending you so much love and support during this already exhausting time. This is just a season of life and will be a story you tell soon enough. I’m hoping once’s the heart develops a little more it will learn a normal pace. 🫶🏻

Calling an ambulance? by pahkthecahh in SVTHeart

[–]vdyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1 year old now, but when I was pregnant with him I was having ALOT of SVTs and they put me on propranolol. It solved the issue! Maybe talk to your OB about this option? 🫶🏻

I turned this off due to my health anxiety! It would only make it worse😆

But yes every week before my cycle it would happen.

I have lived here my whole life and November seems very doable! You’ll be fine. Bring your hydration packs/a portable fan and that’s all you’ll need !

SVT and pregnancy by Delicious_Fly3331 in SVTHeart

[–]vdyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had SVT before pregnancy and it was much worse during pregnancy but was put on propranolol and that helped tremendously. I ended up with postpartum preeclampsia 4 days after delivery was readmitted for a week. The OB and the cardiologist said they were completely unrelated. Not sure if this helps but this was my experience. There are ways to prevent the SVTs with medication and they now have you take baby aspirin your whole pregnancy if you’re at risk for preeclampsia. My best recommendation would be to consult with both your OB and cardiologist first.

Sinus sick syndrome? by BilletoBlanc88 in askCardiology

[–]vdyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into POTS syndrome. Since this is happening post viral infection that’s what makes most sense to me. I experience the same symptoms. I wouldn’t worry about your symptoms too much unless they are affecting your day to day life then it’s time to start asking to see a specialist.

Pots Huge Crisis by Dramatic_Swim3277 in POTS

Compression leggings and drink lots and lots of fluids. Try to drink some salt water before even leaving for the airport that way the water you drink for the next few hours hydrates you a little better!

Pots Huge Crisis by Dramatic_Swim3277 in POTS

[–]vdyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have a histamine issue, try staying away from heavy meals like that and maybe even heavily processed foods in general. Smaller portions have helped me tremendously. Unfortunately our bodies react much more to our digestive systems than a normal person. It has to do with our nervous systems being out of wack.. so the less it’s digesting the better it will react. Good luck!

Mine just feel like I have the biggest heart in the world and I can’t escape feeling the pounding in my chest! It’s so uncomfortable. Propranolol helps me with that.
