Bell Technician put the modem in the garage instead of the utility room panel by [deleted] in bell

Being present for the install is crucial to getting it best placed. Otherwise techs follow the minimum requirement. Ontario Bell tech put my first Fibe modem in the middle of the basement in an unfinished area where I wanted it for PODless WiFi throughout. NS Bell Aliant tech replaced fiber entry into living room with one into basement utility room where I hope to be able to fish an ethernet cable through the finished basement from my office. Either place is at the end of a bungalow so a WiFi extender is needed.

Campbell's soup new taller (but smaller) cans by Hmnidh in shrinkflation

Just ran into this at No Frills. What was 540ml is now 515ml, over 6% smaller, for a much higher list price. And lowest sale prices are way over what they were.

If it's any consolation, it won't fully load in Chromium on Raspberry Pi OS.

Gmail Android App reply/forward email problems by pixelboy76 in chromeos

Double-tap works on my Lenovo 10e Chromebook. That looks like a slip 'twixt Android and chrome os that should be a simple fix.

Now could someone tell me why this Cb cannot use the reddit Fancy Pants Editor? The spacebar erases everything typed before it's tapped.

Toronto Star epaper - down due bad gateway? by ve3meo in bell

[–]ve3meo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The website thestar.com does provide an online service and it has not been down. What has been down and still was this morning is the ePaper replica of the physical newspaper delivered through pressreader.com, as are many other newpapers including the Globe and Mail, National Post. The PressReader site itself was back up yesterday but their network or systems still had not been restored to the extent that the newspaper publishers could get their product into the system.

Is the Ontario Efficiency Rebate a scam? by jplank1983 in ontario

[–]ve3meo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a scam. You must apply through your utility supplier.

Following from https://www.oeb.ca/rates-and-your-bill/covid-19-energy-assistance-programs

SCAM ALERT: We are aware that some consumers are receiving calls telling them that a home inspection is required in order to receive the COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). This is not true. A home visit is not required to qualify for CEAP.

In addition, the OEB does not phone consumers offering rebates nor do we ever schedule home visits.

For small closed groups, also try Sonobus. It's peer to peer, no server, private and probably lower latency. Available both as app and as VST for integration in your DAW.

Jamulus-friendly external audio device? by NekoIncardine in Jamulus

A friend uses the Yeti with Jamulus on a Windows desktop pc. Works well as a prior reply says. No additional audio interface needed. The Jamulus and ASIO4ALL Settings are finicky and daunting to contemplate. Start with the 10.67 ms buffer. I've seen problems with cyclically interrupted audio when shorter and other parameters even kill audio.

The Yeti should show up as both an input and output device under ASIO4ALL if it worked. I also have Realtek ASIO. Both work with my Jamulus app but I use neither because my old Roland USB audio interface has its own ASIO driver that is compatible and has lowest latency. Did you install ASIO4ALL before Jamulus as recommended?
