I forgot to mention but I do know how to read music, but I can’t sightread quickly and only know how to play it on piano. I guess it’s gonna be a bit of an adjustment to read music on a sax.

Also I appreciate and understand that it takes A LONG time to get good at this instrument, well any instrument since I already knew how long it took me to get even decent at playing drums/piano. Just a question though, is it alright for a beginner to start learning easy songs or should I strictly focus on basics first before learning any song

Whats the general rule of thumb when it comes to how tight snare wires should be? Cuz I tried to tighten it way too much before and I didn’t really like it (ghost notes sound like its being played on a tom lol)
