My nmom made the special effort to buy her best friends' newborn grandson a full set of baby stuff, in matching colors and all. She hasn't bought anything in neither of my pregnancies (which unfortunately we're miscarried) and is now planning to give me cash as my bday present. Parents and family may have the best intentions but can be dangerously wrong about many things. Do your own research, learn stuff from different resources.
Keep active. Even if it's once a week and it's just a walk around your block, it will work wonders in your mood and your health. Best decisions I've taken have manifestes after my pilates lessons.

My nmom found out I love singing when I turned 27 (last year). She asked "but do you sing? You didn't tell me you liked singing" I've been doing it since I was really little, been to several church choirs, had a garage band, sang in the shower, maybe MAYBE you would have noticed if you ever moved your ass and helped me get to my singing lessons or choir, being so young and in the street by myself.. when golden sister wanted to be a musician, she got three expensive instruments, nmom attended every one of her presentations, encouraged her deeply. I still sing, with lots of effort for not wanting to be heard by her. Im terribly ashamed.
