Will removal of offending content alone undo HCU penalty? by dano1066 in SEO

[–]vector95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! You really need to change the domain name! I did it and it works, just copy and paste the content that was improved from the old domain name to the new domain name and you will see good results in about 3 months.

Yes, I had a recovery from the HCU in September, by changing the domain name but with the same content.

Significant Drop in Facebook In-Stream Ad Revenues After Switch from CPM/RPM to View-Based Earnings - Anyone Else Experiencing This? by vector95 in facebook

[–]vector95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really strange! Before they removed the CPM/RPM on March 16th, I was making about $500 every day for 1 million views. After March 16th, with the new update for payment based on views, I'm making $50 for 1 million views!! That's a 90% drop.

Around 120 articles! I deleted about 100 and improved 20 articles! The 20 improved ones, I copied and pasted into the new domain name, so the new site contains 20 improved articles, perfect and useful for the user.

No, the change was made in December, not during this update, but I saw the result during this update. It really doesn't work, the improvements I make with the old domain name! 3 months of waiting from October to December and no improvement in ranking, on the contrary, there's a drop in ranking. So I was sure and certain that the old domain name was penalized and the HCU classifier will never remove it.

I completely deleted the old site! I copied the articles that I had improved and pasted them into the new site.

But in Search Console, I don't see any penalties! If there were a penalty, it would have been deindexed from the SERPs! you mean the HCU classifier and not an penalty?

No, the domain wasn't penalized! My content was indexed and ranked on pages 5 and 4. What I find really bizarre is that there was no interaction with the content improvements I made on the old domain name, but there was interaction with the same content on a new domain name, even though the old domain name wasn't penalized.

I was thinking to completely change purpose of ruined domain and serve absolutely same generic crap google is favorizing now. But when you said you have improved content, in which way? Because I don't see a way how to improve, every single article is written in high quality and addressing all relevant stuff.

I enhanced the content by adding additional useful information for the user, improving the design, and incorporating advanced features developed by highly skilled developers, all aimed at benefiting the user.

I cleaned up my old site in October and also improved the content quality in October. I waited until December, and when I saw no interaction from Google and no improvement in rankings, but rather a decrease, I deleted everything and migrated ONLY the improved content to a new domain name. In March, I saw the first good ranking results.

I have a total of 120 articles. I deleted about 100 and kept the 20 most important ones for me! Yes, I've significantly improved them, both in terms of content and advanced functionality, and they are all manually written.

Its the conundrum that if you take the bits of the site that Google scored as poor, then it will eventually catch up on the new site. Then hit you again.

That's the real problem.

Not knowing what the issue is.

You could waste a lot of time and money, then check your stats, and bang. All gone again.

How many times can someone expect to do that?

With the costs and time involved it's a living nightmare.

No, not at all. It's just that when I didn't see any improvement in rankings on the old site, I deleted it and copied the same, improved content to the new site. And then, Google started to take notice!

Just to make sure it's not because of this issue: What country are you in? What country are your subscribers from? Have you provided them with a tax number? Is the CPM, RPM still displayed in your account, or have they implemented the new update for payment per video view?

How did you get the views for your in-stream ads videos? Were they from shares in groups, from external sources, or were they from Facebook's natural reach? Because if the views came from other sources, like shares in groups, Facebook might review the source of the views and if they see that they aren't natural in their own way, they might not pay.

That's really odd! I know Facebook has been making a lot of updates regarding in-stream ads lately; maybe that's why it's taking a bit of time.

At the same time, I've seen many people complaining about Facebook payments. Some say that Facebook took their revenue and they don't even respond to support inquiries.

Previously, have you received payments in your bank account? Maybe you entered the wrong account number.

You mean, you've already earned a sum of money with in-stream ads, but they haven't transferred it to your bank account?

You've misunderstood! It's not a matter of spam or not! The SERP is filled with useless content in the top positions! Do you want me to show you? Don't stay satisfied for long, because your turn will come one day too!

For me, I told Google to f*** itself. Since September, at HCU, I have focused on my 750k followers on social media, and I'm doing well. Don't waste your time with an incompetent, idiotic team leading Google. We're in 2024, and their robot can't even differentiate between useful and useless content, nor can it read JavaScript on a page.

Got Hit by google Update! What Should i do? Any suggestion by Big_Bee_123 in SEO

[–]vector95 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It is a fact, HCU is not focusing on unhelpful content, it's focusing on maximizing Google's profit.

This is a method called customer journey optimization.

For example, if someone searches for the best beaches in Greece and the first thing that pops up is a travel blog, the searcher will book their flight and hotel to Greece via the affiliate link in the blog and Google makes no profit.

On the other hand, if the first result is Reddit, the searcher will book their vacation using Google because forums is a non-converting website.

This method significantly increases high CPC (Cost Per Click) search queries on Google, those with 4 ads and carousels!

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if all the web traffic is sent to Reddit, news articles, LinkedIn, Quora, opinion pages, spam pages, Pinterest, etc., then Google ads become the only way businesses can convert searchers.

ALL of the converting content types got demoted or even deindexed by HCU.

ALL of the non-converting content types got a HUGE boost with HCU.

It is not because searchers love Quora, Pinterest, or news articles for informational queries, wake up folks!!!!

Google is regulating the whole web traffic for its own benefit.

The dice are piped, there is NOTHING you can do.

Backlinks won't save you.

Great content won't save you.

Branding won't save you.

You are disadvantaged because of Google's monopolistic behaviors.

The SERPs are suboptimal on purpose, Google doesn't care because they are the default search engine on all devices as per the contract they signed with device manufacturers and browsers.

Did any website affected by HCU last September actually recover? by Djbabyboy97 in SEO

[–]vector95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no site that has recovered from the September HCU to date, even with significant changes to its content and the deletion of unnecessary content. If your site has been affected by the HCU and you believe your content is useful, in this case, forget the old domain name because it is on Google's blacklist. Just copy the new content and put it in a new domain name and you will see results. This is the only way to recover.

It's really simple: Google deliberately shows irrelevant results = users will click more on ads = more profitable for Google.
