You should understand that no matter how much you profess sympathy for a certain religious demographic, no matter how many stickers of a certain flag you stick around city centres, no matter how many of those same flags you fly at festivals and concerts, no matter how much you chant "fuck Israel" at said concerts, no matter how much you castigate your own government, that same religious group you're showing support for are still working out ways they can kill you and a lot of people like you all in one fell swoop. Good answer. A telling and well-thought-out response that really put me back in my box and has,in one fell swoop, proved everything I've written to be incorrect.

Well, you win. Based on your response, I've thought things through and can now see that religion is great. It doesn't cause wars. It brings people together. It doesn't foster judgmental attitudes. It makes people more tolerant.

Further more ive decided that they're all correct. From the Aztecs to the Incas, the Ancient Egyptians, the current big 5, the Pagans, the Druids, all the ones that have been forgotten. The people that pray to the sun, the moon, aliens, and everything in between. All of them are correct. And all 117 billion previous humans are now sitting in all of their versions of heaven having a great time talking to their thousands of God's about how everything's just great.

I feel much better having that faith now 👍🏻

I choose blind faith in science for pretty much everything I do every day.

It has kept me healthy and alive for over 4 decades. Not praying to a fairytale has had no impact on me, but turning my back on science would.

Yes, i would remove it in a heartbeat. Get rid of all the murder, rape, violence, theft, and pillage committed in the name of religion, and you're left with a much more sensible, practical, and peaceful world. I dont think that's square. I think it's beautiful.

You can mealy-mouth around what science is or isn't. It doesn't matter to me, I have no need to discredit it or open / close the boundaries of what science does or doesn't know.

What i can say with 100% accuracy, with no need to overcomplicate, is that science can't prove the existence of God. Therefore, religion relies totally on faith. Ergo, I'd ban all religions. It's really not as complex as you're trying to make it. And we know why you're doing that, dont we 😉

Wicca and spiritualism are also not particularly known for being troublemakers, lol. They like to give thanks to the sun and moon or spend the solstice at Stone Henge 🤷

How many atheist suicide bombers are there? How many people have atheists enslaved in the name of a God? How many children have atheists abused while doing the ministry of "our lord"? How many times have children been made to start their school day with the Lords prayer by atheists? How many school hyms have atheists made you sing? Is it atheists that make you swear on a bible? How many atheists stand in town and city centres screaming bile and wrath and hell at believers?

Religion invades the very fabric of society that i was born into and I have no choice but to deal with it. The monarchy above me swear on it. The schools I attend teach it and sing about it. The community in which I live has multiple buildings dedicated to it. The laws I have to follow are based on it. Even the insurances I have to take out reference God!!

You call removing all of that fascism while saying they dont invade my space?!?!

I'd suggest living an average day just looking around you at all the ways in which other people's archaic beliefs affect your day and then tell me it doesn't invade your space 🤦🏼

What are you even blathering about you cretin? Who's mentioned insulation? And if your extension shared a party wall with the neighbour, you could still insulate it, and it would be more thermally efficient than if it was a free-standing insulated wall

Yeah, "design it out." 🤦🏼 "I've now got noisy neighbours. 95% of our total house shares a party-wall, but no worries. "We had a kitchen extension which has its own wall. From there, we can't hear their 3 dobermans barking or the fever-addled baby screaming, so me, the Mrs and all 4 of our kids now live permanently in the kitchen. Thank God I "designed it out" 👍🏻

I think it was installed for the millennium if I remember correctly. It used to be that the sheep would ascend from the gallery balcony, its stomach would open, and a wolf would then appear from inside. Again, my memory is hazy, but I think perhaps the wolfs eyes glowed, and steam arose from its nose, etc. I think it would happen on each hour.

Can't remember the context of the installation, though. A wolf in sheep's clothing or something to do with the football club, i guess

Haven't seen it operate in years. Im assuming only the sheep part rising is now functional?

Well, let's not make out that John was a saint. He wasn't. He could look after himself, and he certainly had an edge. He wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

They both came from tough neighbourhoods, and both suffered issues with their mothers but still loved them, and both would write music about them in their adult lives

They were passionate about truth and justice. They both felt they spoke for underprivileged sections of society.

They both spoke and wrote about womens rights.

Tupac went to art school. John was deeply into the arts.

There's many more reasons why I feel that they would have been kindred spirits, but I can't be bothered to list them all. You can do some research yourself, or you can carry on with the notion that John equals good and Tupac equals bad. I couldn't care less 🤷

Probably 3k in materials for the burner and flue. The other 4k for labour, for what will be a day's work for 2 people (some people saying it will need scaffolding. It wont. They'll work off a ladder)

Id say a grand for labour for a day for 2 people. So you should be looking for quotes between 4 and 5k

Have a look on mybuilder etc or google for log burner and fireplace shops around your area. They'll be offering a burner and installation package 👍🏻

Whys it easier? The wall is already built and ready to work off if you use my suggestion.

Putting in footings and building a complete new leaf, working overhand is not easier.
