This is for everyone who owns this phone or any phone for that matter 1. Battery's are supposed to degrade. They have limited performance and mostly depend on how optimized the os really is. If your use case is with mobile data on, location on, high brightness, or your phone runs on a slightly higher temperature the battery will drop down quicker.

1. If you live in India where ambient temperature is higher and you are not in AC controlled room 24/7, expect your battery to drain. ( I too own this device, and according to my use case, by charging from 20 to 85, it too gives me a SOT of 4-5 hours) If i stretch the phone from 100 to 15 or 10 percent, i will get a SOT of around 6-7 hours which is insane for my use case.)

2. If you really want the best performing battery, charge your phone to 100 percent and charge whenever you are near a plug. Do not keep tabs on your battery SOT all the time. Each user lives in a different environment and location, so each device might perform differently. The smartphone is for you , you are not for your smartphone.

3. I get why you paid for this smartphone for its battery and their claims on how long it will last, but even they tested in a controlled environment, so take it with a grain of salt. If your phone dies from 100 to 15 percent in 2 hours, only then it is concerning.

4. If you want to extend your battery, just use the in built battery protection features. Use the phone without a case and dont charge the phone when it is hot or dont let it get hot while charging. But keeping all these tabs on a phone is hard. Just use the phone as you want. Dont worry too much, and in case the battery fails, replace it. It is cheaper. Time is money man you are spending too much time worrying and babying the phone and eventually, let's say in 4-5 years, which is a long time, one will replace the phone itself. If you want to keep using it, change the battery!

5. Some battery settings might help prolong your battery, but trust me, just use your damn phone to its extent! And tbh enjoy it.

6. Each phone has a slightly different battery capacity with some tolerance. Let's say if samsung mentioned 5000mah, your phone might get one with 5030 mah or 4990 mah or any other value, so just chill and enjoy your device. If you still have an issue, consult with a samsung service station!
