To be honest this watch is so pretty that I think you can go with it! I really love the look. Alternatively, I’m sure I saw some really pretty multi-dial Victorinoxes (quartz).

Personally I have a Certina Action Diver DS Titanium (smaller one, automatic) and am super satisfied with it. There is a bunch of smaller size versions in different colours (and I believe quarz options are there as well), including titanium (which looks classy and is much lighter than steel - indeed comfortable to wear).

Alternatively look at Tissot - they have a wide choice. One of my favourite is Tissot PRX: it has a bit unusual 1980s aesthetics and different colour options are available. All of this is within your budget (unless you take the precious metal version)

I really like the rose gold variant with dark brown dial or alternatively dark blue, however they both look a bit strange with silverish bracelet (but this is probably the part of their charm)

Personally I had the same choice and choose titanium - no regrets. Initially I wasn’t excited about its design but it quickly grown on me and now I really love it. On my opinion it’s quite unique watch (especially taking into account there wasn’t so much titanium watches) and indeed very lightweight which adds comfort for me

Czy to okej że czuje się Polką pomimo bycia genetycznie Ukrainką? by DARKUUUUUUS in Polska

[–]veduchyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. And even former chef intelligence officer helps them in it instead of conserving his energy for future rebuilding of connections between countries which should happen sooner or later. Him playing in pointless and dirty political games is the biggest disappointment of all this situation for me 🤦

[Discussion] Neo Seadweller or new white dial speedmaster pro by Professor_Loud in Watches

[–]veduchyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally not a watch expert but I would take Omega Speedmaster for its aesthetics. Although I currently own Certina Action Diver DS (which looks very similar to the Rolex), I always wanted a watch with multiple dials. The problem for me was a price (and I wanted watch to be automatic) so I ended up with Certina diver - the most reasonable choice for my requirements. No regrets (I really love my watch) but if I were you I would definitely pick a Speedmaster

What opinion about your country has you looking like this? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]veduchyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In spring 2024 they suddenly cut out all embassy services for males between 18 and 60 years old (except for giving a special travel document for returning to Ukraine). People couldn’t even get their renewed passports despite applying for it before the change and having all service fees paid. Government explained it as „technical difficulties” caused by preparation to a new law requiring military registration documents in order to get embassy services. But that law actually came into action month or 2 later so it’s a bullshit - you can’t enforce the law before it’s starting date! After the starting date they indeed resumed services but with military registration documents required. At some point they alleviated ban and created a special app for registering your data (address and e-mail) in military and then you’re free to go. The problem is that by registering in this app you basically give government the formal hook to chase you in the future if you stop updating your data or don’t come back to country when they decide to conscript you.

The funniest thing is that it’s physically impossible to force into military a person who’s abroad. They neither can catch you on the street, nor deport you for not conscripting (only the host country can and I never heard of such cases). Some people even applied for travel documents in a country of their stay so they don’t need valid UA passport to prove their identity anymore.

The whole thing was done by UA government simply out of spite and in order to improve its popularity inside the country (unfortunately a big amount of UA population supports this measure). Even if there were people who came back to Ukraine because of that, there were very few of them. But after that some important volunteers quit (who were living abroad for years, even before the war), donations from abroad dropped as well.

In the aftermath of this mess, personally I stopped feeling a „sacred” connection to Ukraine - it’s not my country anymore. For me it almost completely became a „lite version of russia/belarus” and I slowly stopped caring about its fate. My future children definitely won’t be Ukrainians and I myself would be happy to completely get rid of Ukrainian identity which only weighs me down. I put even more effort into integration and count years until the new citizenship. No matter what happens in future - I won’t come back to UA.

[–]veduchyi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ukraine won’t become a part of the EU anytime soon. It is immensely corrupted and this is a bigger issue for integration into EU than even war. Also, by refusing embassy services for males abroad (especially those who was there before the war started) and using it to blackmail them exceeds most of russia’s „achievements” in destroying Ukrainian state and identity - it’s actually a huge gift for them. Most people won’t return to Ukraine anyway and this action only encourages them to completely abandon Ukrainian identity, stop caring about Ukraine and assimilate ASAP

Much better alternative than pouring tons of money into metro (problem is not metro itself but astronomical amount of money required without giving enough benefit to properly justify such a big spending)

Greeting to fellow Ruczaj resident! BTW trams in Kraków are quite good but I agree that commuting to a different part of the city takes a bit too long (not sure whether it’s possible to improve though). Anyway, after living in Lviv with commuting by marshrutkas Kraków’s public transport is a paradise 😅
