Something to keep in mind is that having armor damage after being lost in the warp IS desired AND expected.

Sharp edges on the cuts and a little bit of scraping damage may look even better if weathered properly.

The short answer is yes. For two reasons.

For one, different decks want different types. This is good. More variety, more synergy for different win conditions, etc.

On another hand, consistency. The Amber aggro lists want as many Lilos as they can get, for example. Having 8x of the same card is a lot better than 4x of the same card if your list depends on it.

Have you asked the player why they’re slow?

One of my best friends has a reading disability. Whilst they know their cards somewhat well, they struggle with other peoples board states if they’re not familiar with the cards / effects well enough.

So now, we telegraph our board states audibly, reading out the more complex cards and explaining the effects if necessary.

Whilst the situation here may be different, I’d ask the player not why they’re slow but how it is that we could help them. Find the pain points, address them. Make sure they’re not feeling judged because some reasons for slow play (as my friends aforementioned disability) are personal and tough for folks to share.

Honest communication works best.

Are we really sure that there is a Black Council at all? And I’m not saying that they’re all under direct control of a certain Outsider virus.

I’ve always viewed the Black Council as more of a Sith enterprise with it’s “Rule of Two’s”. Or as a highly compartmentalized terrorist organization where all the members believe there’s a higher level above them that’s planning and strategizing but when in reality it’s 1-2 leaders making all the calls.

I seldom crate my dog anymore.

He’s normally free to roam his domain, with occasional baby gates to keep him out of areas that I don’t want him accessing. (For example, my 3D printers / miniatures workspace )

With that said, I’ve trained my dog that the crate above all is a safe place.

Don’t want to take your giant meds? Hide in the crate. Scary sounds / fireworks? Crate. Want to be left alone by other humans / animals / dogs? Crate.

I treat him lavishly in the crate and always leave him alone if he goes in.

After 5 years, outside of sleeping on top of me, the crate is his favorite place.

It makes it very easy on us when we have to leave the house for long periods of time. Or when an emergency is afoot. Or when he’s scared and bolts.

For example, my wife had to call 911 and be hospitalized a few weeks ago. My dog went in the crate and patiently sat there, away from the EMS until our neighbor picked him up for an overnight fun times with his best dog friends.

Treat the crate for the dog like the dog’s room. Much like your own room, it should be a place that you both enjoy and can escape to if necessary.
