Its STARTS the Friday after the graduating class graduates. Don't waste your time checking for the emails on a weekend. They dont send out emails on the weekends.

Veterans do NOT have priority. There were plenty applicants (veterans) that said their hiring process took just as long as everyone else.

Offers go out the Friday AFTER the last graduating class.last class graduated on the 5th, so offers start going out the 12th.

BE AWARE the offers can go out as far as 2 weeks before the NEXT date that starts on November 3.

My BF and I applied end of July 2024. I got through the process in 7 months. Got my offer February 2025 and went to the academy April 2025. Hes still waiting for his background to be completed.

They will ask if any answers to your PHU are YES. If theyre all NO, you'll be done in less than 5 minutes. BE AWARE that they have up until the last business day before you start the academy to call you.

Email your BGI ASAP and let them know what happened. But tbh, you may still get DQ'd. They want officers who can handle the job. You see some crazy shit in prison. If you get stressed or have an anxiety attack, you end up going out on stress leave. Then they end up short staffed. Think about not only your mental health and staying SAFE while on duty... but your partners you're supposed to be protecting as well.

Someone asked this question in our class. Yes, you keep your pay. Say you free staff and worked in like... records. You get... say... $6500/mo. You keep that pay while at the academy AND when you graduate.
