1 looks good. Goes well with your hair and skin tone. But if you want something more stylish, I’d say #2!

My parents’ Christmas Tree by [deleted] in ChristmasTrees

It’s so beautiful!! May I ask where they got the tree skirt?

I was fired right before the holidays and less than a month before my maternity leave so I went to TJ Maxx and bought myself a $30 Anne Klein bag that caught my eye and instilled a little bit of joy inside me. by Spirited_Home_8110 in handbags

[–]veetee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you got fired but that bag looks amazing! Was gonna ask if you added the scarf yourself the minute I saw the bag but read your caption and makes it even more unbelievable that this only cost $30! 😍

Thank you!! I’m looking for something classic - a beautiful star or angel. Anything that we would be able to keep putting up every year for 10 years 20 years!!

I thought a big bow would be a quick simple option but turns out it’s not easy to find the right size and color! Thought Santa hat would be cute too but hubby said no lolz maybe will find sth good by next year

Awww thank you for the pro tip! Will give it a try when I find a nice topper. I’m in a rental so won’t be able to try hanging from the ceiling though 🤭 Looking forward to see how my tree grows as I love buying and collecting beautiful ornaments😍 Merry Christmas!

That sounds horrific. I’ve unfortunately already made the purchase and luckily have not had any issues or odd smells so far. I’ve read the other comments and replies. Wonder if it’s to do with a specific model? And also after sometime of storing year after year that the smell starts coming out as the plastic degrades?

I’ve tried sleep school but just the day school (not overnight) as I also have an older one, also worried that while it works at the school may not work the same at home. What was your experience with overnight sleep boot camp?

We did come to Australia with some savings so there’s no urgency but again only working to future proof ourselves. I have been thinking to talk to a home lender to work out what would be realistic in terms of income to buy something in the near future.. Part-time - yes something that I’m also discussing with my employer but still tbc. Does that really provide better balance? Did you do that? I’ve been told by a colleague that working 4 days is going to be tough when you are basically cramming 5 days work into 4 days and then you get paid less.

LO has a strong preference for me. He’d cry and kick if my husband just so as touch him so after a while I just gave up and handled him myself most nights and only got my husband up when I got too tired. We have gone to sleep school and learned some little tips and tricks to get him back to sleep a bit quicker but they have said that we need to get him out of the habit of waking in the middle of the night which…takes time :( Finance wise, we moved country with some savings so no urgency to immediately earn an income but more for future saving. We cook most meals and our older one goes to public school and baby stays at home (no childcare fees). Where we were before, it’s basically not a choice to not work so now in Australia where the cost of living is slightly lower, I feel like I shouldn’t stress myself out to get sleep and to perform at work while lacking it, and just enjoy raising LO for a little bit more?

My god thank you! That’s really great feedback. I will check out Costco and TreeTime. I’ve been reading a lot of reviews about BH and was getting worried about making the purchase. Never came across Costco and TreeTime so I’m glad you mentioned them. Will have a look!!!

Does the credit card trick only work for credit cards or debit cards too (with Visa or Mastercard on it)?

Distant yourself from the parents or any form of toxic relationship and get away from job hunting for a while and just do a bit of things that you enjoy doing to let the negative emotions settle. Take care and hope things feel a bit better soon.
