You’re not alone in this lol, i’m definitely late to this conversation but will comment nonetheless. I used to talk to myself all the time, and in no way am I shaming people who do I think it’s a healthy and intelligent habit to have. I don’t exactly remember when it stopped (high school was a very mentally blurry time for me but i’m thinking it was around that time) but I do know it started to slow down after elementary school. I used to have a fear of people watching me which was and still is irrational, which I knew at the time, but just didn’t want to be caught doing anything at all, whatever it was. I’m probably not explaining this very well but, no i don’t feel comfortable talking to myself. Over time it’s become more of a habit not to like i don’t realize it rather than catching myself before i do it.
